Other Stage Headliners 2015

I saw Chems at Wireless in 2011, a week or so after Glastonbury, didn't work anywhere as well in the dusk, a sub slot just wouldn't work, could imagine Alt J underneath them personally

Yeah it would be an odd move with them getting a full time visual show creator involved for the live shows. Just thought it was an avenue that might be worth considering if they'd been offered it in the past and we were confused about juggling these Other headliners.

Definitely don't think alt-j will sub the Other Stage. They were third down last time and have grown quite a bit. Subbing Pyramid is much more realistic.

Yeah I agree about Alt-J, wouldn't be much point in just moving them up one slot on the same stage but even then I think they're bigger than subbing the Other stage. I still think they'll headline it.

Being TBC for the Other stage would suggest otherwise. There was no chance they would sub the Pyramid.

Hozier can only do Sunday and I don't think he'd be that high up. Modest Mouse are probably a little too high and Tame Impala would be just a slot higher than last time so I wouldn't see the point. I agree Chems, alt-j, Ben Howard are quite probable in those positions though.

I meant if they were subbing anything. If Other is TBC, I would imagine it means they're headlining, which was always the most likely spot.

Placebo seem pretty busy in mainland Europe - Switzerland on the 27th, Glastonbury seems unlikely

So hang on a min, Ben Howard is headlining the 2nd stage at Parklife and headlining Wilderness while alt-j headline Latitude and probably sub Reading and Leeds. Maybe arena shows aren't the be all and end all? Didn't we hear alt-j had been offered the headline slot months ago? "No thanks, we would like to sub Ben Howard though".

It's annoying me I really can't think, I don't see it being Beck as will suggested, can't see them putting Beck up against Foos

Edit: Brandon Flowers has his new solo record out in May, he could be near the top of the other maybe

Yeah, Beck's a weird act to predict in terms of size as well. Deadmau5 is touring so I suppose he's an option, but there doesn't seem to be any obvious acts who it could be.

So I really dont know who could be that Friday headliner (something good I hope as not a fan of Foos) but Ben Howard into Chems and Alt J Sound like a good Saturday Sunday Guess

I wouldn't be surprised if Beck was this year's Pixies/Smashing Pumpkins i.e. subbing a newer act on the Other Stage (like alt-J maybe?)

Can someone point me in the right direction of Alt-Js good stuff? What's their most well known song. Im struggling to understand how they could headline.

For the record, Gazza PM'd me a prediction last month that had alt-J headlining the Other Stage and Ben Howard subbing it, and also said "I don't see Ben Howard subbing myself, he's not actually headlining Parklife, somehow, I'm not sure how but a 2nd stage header isn't subbing at Glasto. An actual Parklife header has only done 3rd main/sub other equivalent and I don't see him different."

So I'm not sure why he's now suggesting Ben Howard's way bigger and that alt-J are more likely to sub than him, when nothing has changed between then and now.
