Can someone point me in the right direction of Alt-Js good stuff? What's their most well known song. Im struggling to understand how they could headline.

I'd guess Breezeblocks, Hunger of the Pine, Every Other Freckle and Left Hand Free are their biggest songs.

I'm not a massive fan of Alt-J but I love Hunger of the Pine. Was quite looking forward to their last album after hearing it but the rest of the album wasn't great.

I'd take Beck or Chems for Saturday \ Sunday.

SFA could make a strong appearance somewhere, there'll be a lot of love for them.

I've also seen Ian Brown before at Glastonbury, headlining Sunday and it wasn't busy (no auto-tune!) and do wonder if Stone Roses headlining a Sat \ Sun would be feasible.

Other Stage would be packed, but then it's been packed plenty of times before, as die-hard a fan as I am, I get the feeling the ship has a sailed a bit on the main excitement to see them, so they'd not draw as full a crowd as people might expect.

and on a totally off-topic point, it would seem my post count was reset at some stage. I appreciate I post about x10 comments a year as I'm a serial lurker, but I've been on these forums for close to 10yrs!

Ian Brown solo is not Stone Roses though. I reckon they would get the biggest headline crowd of the weekend.

Chemical Brothers, New Order, Faithless, Suede (probably JP) would be a good bunch of headliners on lower stages.

the post counts have been reset in the past when the forums software wasn't so good and caused me to need to purge the database now and then, but it's not been done for many years how (I'm not sure how many, but I reckon it's probably 4 or more).

cheers Neil, thought it might be that (or just that I'm posting in my head when lurking and not actually posting at all! :-) )

talk of Suede, MSP, Chem's, New Order, Stone Roses, Faithless, Placebo gives the Other Stage headliners a distinctive feel of circa. 1997 :-)

I'm not saying I prefer someone 'new' for the sake of it e.g. Alt-J, and some of the above are in my fav acts, just that all of those acts are not really 'now' and a lot more 'then'*

* I appreciate Chem's have had plenty of recent output, but even their most recent album was 5yrs ago, MSP are touring an album from 20yrs ago (though did tour new material last year).
