stocky3000
Bjork could be a shout, if the Manchester International Festival claiming her first European performance of the year is bollocks. I was thinking this there is definitely some scope for interpretation in the Manchester Festivals wording. Would be the perfect booking up against Foos I think
eastynh
i think morrissey as an other headliner would be great, but I think he is more of a pyramid act. its not beyond the realms of possibility but i just dont see it. but i dont know who else could do it. going up against foos would split the crowd in such a way that I think the festival strategically would want to. No doubt someone will now say that mozza is booked in europe on the friday. one more small thing is that I think mozza's current UK arena tour wraps up inside the next week or so, leaving him open to being announced. Tickets are still being flogged for his gig in leeds tonight as i understand, for example. anyway, we will know inside the next 2 weeks. (thats my guess anyway) fri / sat/ sun morrissey / new act with someone older beneath them / chemical brothers I went to see Mozza on Friday. I have been a massive Smiths/Mozza fan over the years but he bored me shitless.
thewayiam
I've got: Fri - Deadmau5 / Hot Chip Sat - Ben Howard / Jamie T Sun - The Chemical Brothers - alt-J It would have been alt-J headlining instead of Ben Howard, with Chems moved to Sat, but alt-J opposite Flo would be odd. Considered Beck for Friday heasliner, too. I think given the Rudimental latest, for me there is a good chance either Hot Chip are JP headers or Jamie T is 3rd. I'm fairly sure Howard won't headline. ghostdancer1
Bjork could be a shout, if the Manchester International Festival claiming her first European performance of the year is bollocks. on another message board, someone who has been right in the past about things says that she's apparently headlining Body & Soul festival in Ireland the weekend before Glastonbury... stocky3000
The National aren't completely inactive maybe they could be within a shout for that Friday shot
st dan
I don't think the Saturday headliner will be a strong or popular booking. So much backlash against Kanye means that many are unlikely to watch him, and a strong other stage headliner could lead to some overcrowding issues. the wonderwhy
I went to see Mozza on Friday. I have been a massive Smiths/Mozza fan over the years but he bored me shitless. He was brilliant in Nottingham.

kingcrawler
- Rudimental, Jamie T - The Chemical Brothers, Ben Howard - Alt-J, Hot Chip If it is Florence that's the Sunday headliner, which you seem to be predicting at the moment, then I don't think they'd put Alt-J up against her. Fuck man, I thought I used to do a lot of predictions! That award has defo been taken away now lol. And no they wouldn't, won't be an issue either way. And I'm more confident that Rudimental won't be headlining other than I am about Ben Howard. Edited March 29, 2015 by thewayiam

benj847
BJORK surely??? As far as I'm aware she hasn't mentioned it being her first Europe gig, only MIF did and that could just be a way to sell tickets and promote it as it was the first European gig announced at the time
DGrant261
I'm still going for Alt-J not heading. There is enough from Neil to say they aren't. Ben Howard, Rudimental and Hot Chip/Alt-J as subs for me. I can't pick except for The Chem Bros. I don't get how Alt-J could play other but not headline. Their last albums sales have surely moved them up more than just one slot. For me it's pyramid sub, other headliners or nothing Considered Beck for Friday heasliner, too. Would please plenty people, but surely wouldn't clash with Foos. A strong pyramid sub maybe? - Rudimental, Jamie T - The Chemical Brothers, Ben Howard - Alt-J, Hot Chip Makes good sense that. But personally think Hot Chip might end up 3rd, didn't they get a poor post Florence crowd in 2010 and they've not really become any more popular in the meantime. I'm going for that but with Placebo as Sunday sub. Edited March 29, 2015 by DGrant261

For me it's pyramid sub, other headliners or nothing I'm going for that but with Placebo as Sunday sub. It won't be nothing. Ed's debut album sold bloody well and he still played 3rd/2nd sub. Placebo would be 3rd down I'd imagine if they even play. Glasto won't bother with them I'd doubt for anything above the Interpol level. Where would The Charlatans play? Mid Other at a guess
thewayiam
Friday: Rudimental Jamie T The Maccabees Courteeners Modest Mouse ? Motorhead -An underwhelming guest slot- Saturday: Chemical Brothers Ben Howard The Charlatans Django Django Sbtrkt ? Charli XCX Sunday: Alt-J Placebo Hot Chip ? Years & Years Johnny Marr No point in putting dance acts like HC/SBTRKT on earlier than sub. Years and Years will be JP.

Those are the sort of slots new bands and artists get on their second summer on the same album. eg. Royal Blood last year compared to this year (albeit at Reading). No idea who the second band you're on about is. Edited March 29, 2015 by dentalplan
