bennyhana22
I think it's a surprise how many people in the general population will just lump Hot Chip in with that horrible nu-rave blip a few years ago, they were making fantastic music before, and they've not stopped since. Untz
It's funny, I never would have thought of Hot Chip as my kind of band. I love electronica/dance, but usually much more minimal/bleepy/less poppy. Then I bought tickets for the Birmingham warm up gig last month and they were brilliant. New album is really growing on me too. As said, if they were given a WH headline slot, I'd be thrilled. Ben I'd be shocked if they had a WH headline slot, but I'd probably be there depending on clashes/mood/wind direction etc etc. I'll be the one walking away afterwards complaining loudly that they haven't played anything off Coming on Strong, again. bennyhana22
I think that's what I mean, Lawn...on the face of it, they might seem generic. Listen not for very much longer and you realise that they are anything but that... Ben

Untz
WILL BE AMAZING A storming set. I was just chilling out past the mixing desk and before I knew it I had spent the entire time singing and dancing. Them bringing on Wiley in 2008 was inspired too. Much better live than on record, I'll give them that.
Gucci Piggy
When I used to watch MTV Two and NME TV in like 2007/08-ish, during that nu-rave explosion thing, there were a couple of Hot Chip songs on heavy rotation including that Over and Over one. I hated them, and listened to a new one in the last couple of months, and found it quite boring again but found myself tapping along by the end. Could someone recommend something by them to listen to that won't bore me (I think it just isn't for me tbh).

Homer
Ready for the floor is the obvious entry point for hot chip. And I hate Alt J too!

robot86
Agreed. When I've been daydreaming about seeing them this year, it's been on West Holts. I'd love this. It'll be my first Glastonbury, and I really like the idea of watching a WH headliner. Hot Chip would be perfect for me - like a massive open air dance tent. You can already feel the communal happiness! Ben 2 of my Glastonbury highlights have been at West Holts. Chase and Status in 2011 (in the absolute pouring rain) and Disclosure last year. Hot Chip headlining one night this year would be a beautiful, beautiful moment.

Amy Lawn
I'd be shocked if they had a WH headline slot, but I'd probably be there depending on clashes/mood/wind direction etc etc. I'll be the one walking away afterwards complaining loudly that they haven't played anything off Coming on Strong, again. I'd really love to hear Baby Said played live, but I understand how the first album stuff might not lend itself to their current live incarnation... however, they've done a pretty great job of re-imagining loads of other stuff to be played in the current set-up. I demand that they play Baby Said!
WS_Jack_III
Been posted before but well worth a watch. Watched this a lot recently. The start is amazing, How Do You Do? Is probably my favourite song by them.
Lord Rooster
I'm in the Alt-j are Alt-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz camp also Any chance for of Monsters and Men being there? Fairly sure I checked their dates and they appear to be booked up over the three main days of the festival. Shame, as I was rather looking forward to the possibility of seeing them again - great sunny day band!

I demand that they play Baby Said! Never mind that, imagine Beach Party in blistering afternoon heat. Not that they would ever play at that time or that song... I saw them just after they released The Warning and everything from Coming on Strong was up-tempoed and it worked really well. They also slowed down Boy From School just to mix it up. Nu-rave was ace, more scenes need glo-sticks Hot Chip subbed by Klaxons (ignoring their 3rd album) for the Saturday! Just ask London Tom I can't say I noticed white jeans or any stains? Didn't Neil say (I haven't been on here in ages) that Alt-J were near enough confirmed? Would love Hot Chip! Unless they maybe headline John Peel? I don't know how big they're perceived as anymore.
