Other Stage Headliners 2015

Just a staple of British festivals - Glastonbury in particular - so while it's decent enough, it's very uninspiring.

Are they bringing out new music? Thought something would've been announced by now.

That goes straight to the top of the list of the worst other stage headliners ever surely?

I'm not convinced on Ben Howard at all. His festival slots are really not in correlation with his gig venues and I can't see it differing at Glastonbury either. More likely him subbing and Chemical Brothers in fact playing Saturday or somebody else we're not thinking about in my eyes.

Point taken re the Chemical Brothers - though yes, they do have a new album coming out. Also, one of them has dropped out of playing live, so the one with the glasses is doing the live shows on his own (if that makes any difference).

Ben Howard headlined Tuts last year. A decent sized slot, and a fair bit before the new album came out.

I could see him headline other.

I sort of agree, I think he's more likely to sub rather than headline Other. Not sure who else there is to headline if he's not doing it though. Maybe Beck but I don't think he'd get quite that high a slot.

I also think if Alt-J don't headline other then they'll sub the Pyramid rather than play 3rd down like some are suggesting.

i think there's still a curveball to be thrown our way concerning Other headliners. Ben Howard will sub imo, and Alt-J will either do the same or be on the Pyramid. although to be fair, Rudimental still seem like an odd choice to me. maybe i'm just underestimating their size but they just seem all wrong

For me if Paulo is only a sub Ben Howard can't be an other headliner. I'm fairly confident he'll sub the Chems on the Friday.People seem to be reasonably sure Jamie T is gonna sub. As for the 3rd sub I'm sticking with my guess of Placebo.

I would place Rudimental slightly below the same level as Disclosure in terms of popularity - when you consider the Other Stage headliners of the last few years, if it was Rudimental, Ben Howard and Chems it would be pretty woeful.

After reading a review of Falls Festival (mentioned in the weather thread) one of the "10 things we learned" was that they're basically shit. "Lacklustre headliners".

Haven't seen them live mind you but after listening to their music I've absolutely no desire to do so.

But its rare theres ever real quality headlining the Other isnt it?
