Ive got tickets every time and never use the f5 method, i just let it refresh on its own and the longest its taken me to get to booking page is about 25 mins. For 2 of those years i had 1 shitty old slow computer.

I agree, let the pages time out. Hammering F5 could just be cancelling a request that's about to complete and get you to the booking page.

But have lots of browsers and lots of devices.

Can all the techies who get tickets tell us about any super clever techniques they use ???

Don't share your internet connection with anyone else, use one browser tab and refresh as often as you feel comfortable.

The real 'backdoors' of old got closed down in this years sale.

Make sure you copy the link for the home page and go into it a lot, log in to see tickets as a registered user and also if you get through to the booking form copy the link in case it drops. Try on 3G as well as wi- fi. It is probably just luck tho! I shall be trying again - since 1995 when I sent off for tickets with a cheque via post ( ah those were the days!!) I Have managed to get tickets every year apart from 2004. This will be hopefully my 17th ( also 1984 and 86 before internet invented!)

I'm rarely lucky on ticket day, though in most years friends managed to book for me.

Last year was an absolute nightmare. Tried the early coach sale - no luck (wasn't that supposed to be easier?). October ticket day, no joy. April resale, same. Secret May resale - missed that, as I was at work in a meeting (yes, I know, but I really can't pack in work for a whole month, just in case). None of the people trying on my behalf had any luck either, although one of them is always trying from abroad which is supposed to be easier to get through.

I am not looking forward to all this again. But I do want to go....

Does 3G give more of a chance? ;O

Haha, I did exactly the same. I was talking with somebody doing the same thing who described it as 'nerve-racking'. I told him if he hasn't tried for Glasto, he doesn't know he's born. It's a whole different league of angst.

£789 later, makes Glasto seem cheap too!
