SG87
I'll be breaking my Leeds festival virginity this year, so just a few questions... What's the deal with parking, is there a car park situated near to each and every camp site? We'll be arriving around 10am on Friday, so judging by previous comments I'm led to believe it'll be Brown camp site for us? Lastly, at T in the Park they have a service called Be Chilled. Basically you can order beer/cider online, print out your receipt and take it to the Be Chilled tent that is situated in the camp site to collect your bevy. Do Leeds do any similar sort of service? Any help is appreciated, cheers.
craigyb31
Basically one big carpark and a right trek to get in especially if arriving on Friday. There will be plenty of space in brown still though. There was last year we camped there from the Thursday as we took our kids with us. I've never heard of the big chill but what a good idea, there is a shop on site but having never used it i can imagine the prices a marked up horribly. Have a good time

Yeah the Be Chilled is cracking, ÂŁ14 or something for 12 cans of lager, makes all the difference when you're already carrying a heavy load. I'll head along to that shop and have a look at their beers and just fill my rucksack with spirits. Cheers mate, will do!
kemosabe
The shop is a rip off (ÂŁ2.50 a can) You can get a shuttle bus to tescos or leave your stuff in a car if your driving??
craigyb31
Thats our plan. Set up camo and have a few beers then go back to the car to stock back up.
Gucci Piggy
The walk from the car park to the campsite is awful. I did it four times last year, helping other people in. Never again.
GodlikeYeezus
It's more of a crawl than a walk when you're hanging out of your arse
Gucci Piggy
You arrive hungover? Couldn't be doing with that.
GodlikeYeezus
No ahhaha last year we left some of the beer in the car and got it the next day
Gucci Piggy
Ohhh right haha, yeah I had to help my mate carry his stuff in at 6:30 Thursday morning after going to bed at 4. Actually could have cried. Then helped more people in at like 12, who carried none of their own stuff, and again, I could have cried. Good shout, I maybe leave a couple crates in the boot of the car and go collect them each morning. I'm a bit of a lazy bastard right enough and the walk is giving me the fear already haha
SG87
Had a cracking weekend!! Weather ended up being decent eh? Ended up camping in Green. Wasn't the worst of walks back to the car from the campsite, I'd say T in the Park is usually worse. Superb atmosphere in and around the campsite and arena,no arseholes causing trouble - also never seen one police officer the full weekend....very strange especially when you're a Glaswegian! Never got searched going into the arena on any day either so had cans and bottles planted all over me. An all round success. Definitely be back next year
