Hi,

First time at Creamfields, and i was just wondering what the phone reception is like on the site? do you get good signal in the arena and campsite?

Just be careful you don't lose it when drunk .... mistake I made the first year, now my bog standard Nokia comes with me instead.

Yeh I take a crappy older phone with cheap spare swappable batteries. No point in trashing a shiny new iphone/galaxy/nexus in the mud and rain or struggling to keep it charged it over the long weekend.

Reception has been ok for me (Voda/O2), but sometimes text messages take hours to come through to/from fellow festival go'ers. Best phoning/agreeing meeting/checkpoints, etc.

Data is a bit choppy, but I've been able to upload photos from the campsite many times.

Im on o2 and was fine last year from green campsite probably depends which campsite you are in! who needs phones there anyway i didnt use mine hardly!! :-)

Me too, I am well and truly going back in time, my phone for the weekend doesn't even have a camera or internet

Yes honestly these do still exist ha.
