the wonderwhy
At Reading their crowd was DEAD, except the guy in front of me who almost knocked me out on multiple occasions with his weird violent head banging. Might have been Yellow. EDIT: Arctics, not Baby Godzilla. Edited August 29, 2014 by MattDavies__

nickybu
Leeds was fucking great. My top 5 are probably as follows (in no order): 1. The Front Bottoms - amazing set, amazing crowd, was right upfront and lost my voice completely. Also one of my favourite bands ever and mean the world to me so it was a heartfelt 35 minutes 2. Blink-182 - HUGE fan, they played the greatest hits which was what the crowd wanted and it sounded great. The crowd was amazing, even overpowering tom and mark's voice for the first two songs. Again, I lost my voice. 3. QOTSA - SUPERB performance. The extended "Song for the Deaf" was insane and resulted in multiple big pits which was fun as hell. Some little kid fainted too lol 4. Cage The Elephant - They know how to put on a great show. There was a great atmosphere and he interacted so much with the crowd. My friend managed to touch him while he was crowd surfing 5. The Kooks - Love them and they put on a great show. Was happy that they played their new stuff but also some classics. Tent was full and atmosphere was great! On another note, I managed to talk to, dance with and get pictures of Jack Steadman and Harrison Koisser which was awesome as fuck :

dentalplan
Anyone see Metronomy? Or was everyone just an unimpressed Fantano? The crowd on the coverage seem fantastic for it... and it's a Reading crowd! Edited August 30, 2014 by dentalplan

sjseabass
Anyone see Metronomy? Or was everyone just an unimpressed Fantano? The crowd on the coverage seem fantastic for it... and it's a Reading crowd! Gutted to miss them, I absolutely adored them at their secret Glastonbury set, but decided, on balance, that given I'd already seen them twice this year (Field Day too) I'd go for Paramore (who I do like, and fancied seeing how they'd handle headlining) and then be able to get a good spot for Queens. Don't talk about them any more or you'll make me sad
Yellow_Fellow
Metronomy more like flopped after Pip Paine
dentalplan
The fact you'd have never heard of Metronomy without their post-Pip Paine releases suggests that's incorrect.

dentalplan
Just cause it's accessible doesn't mean it's good I'm saying Pip Paine was released on a very small scale and only sought out by fans of the band. If you didn't dig Nights Out or English Riviera then you'd have never heard it. Sorta like saying Nirvana lost it after Bleach but worse. dentalplan
Nah but it was good; grew on me after a few listens and seeing them on William's Green. There's only been the one great album this year. See above for details.

Maybe, but he hasn't done any Rolo Tomassi reviews so it is a bit uncertain Edited August 31, 2014 by justanothername

I think you're forgetting about St Vincent.
