Hmmmm, all these recent yellow bus pix are just a li'l close to childhood home and all that ! So here's another just to add to the collection ... and this rather fine looking beast isn't a dirty smelly clapped out old diesel but a shiny(ish) quiet(ish) green(ish) yellow trolley bus into the bargain :P

WRU272, a Sunbeam MF2B with a Weymann H35/28D body as seen at the garage on Sunday 14 July 1968 ... according to those who know about such things anyway.

... wanders off to put virtual anorak back in cupboard :lol:

Stablemate of today's fine example of a Sunbeam MF2B trolleybus, here's WRU271 seen crossing Tuckton Bridge over the River Stour on route 21 from Christchurch to Bournemouth town centre via Southbourne, Pokesdown and Boscombe. This vehicle in a primrose and maroon livery has Weymann 63-seater bodywork dating from 1958. The wording on the noticeboard says "Tuckton Bridge. Trolley Buses, maximum speed 10 miles per hour. Trolleybuses must not pass on the bridge". Bridge eventually strengthened before it fell down but trolleybuses long since departed needless to say !

You've missed several btw :) However, you might want to have a look for WRU265 - WRU270 inclusive ;) There was a whole bunch of these beasties with consecutive plates in the fleet !

Dublin Bus, (Clontarf Garage), Volvo Olympian, Alexander, RA 271, (96-D-271) in Cityswift livery was only a month in service when photographed operating the route 27 in Coolock in June 1996. RA 271 was one of a fourteen bus batch delivered new to Clontarf Garage between March and May 1996, RA 264, (96-D-264) to RA 277, (96-D-277), all in Cityswift livery.

I prefer this livery, but we don't get this in Leeds :-(

I completely missed yesterday. As in totally. Anyway, here's today's offering;

04-110-27.jpg

I may be able to post tomorrow morning but am off to a small festival later in the day so will not be able to post for a few days. Loving some of these buses. Another great theme this year, thanks once again to whisty.

Much easier to find than last years. Theme pure accidental as one of the top images when 1st looked was a Bus & although busses in general are not as visually impressive as fire engines last year, bonus for me is the old advertising on them :) Anybody feel free to post any image you like with a number. Have a good time Mr Y :)
