Elbow were on 6Music talking about theyre upcoming shows. They said they were doing some festivals this year but were sworn to secrecy about what they were doing, and indicated their manager was gesticulating at them as they were speaking to be quiet .... I wouldnt have thought they would even be there this year, but cant think what else they would have to be so secretive about?

they won't be back. the only position they could play in is Pyramid sub, and having a sub return so soon would be incredibly poor (especially as they have no new material). maybe they're headlining a smaller festival as i can't really think what major fest they'd play that they didn't already last year

I would think Latitude would be more likely than Bestival, could play V, although doesn't really strike me as obvious

Don't see them at T at all played 2012/2014, no great crowd in 2014 but that's cause they were clashing with Calvin Harris, god above

They did V last year so won't be there again. Only major festival I could see them doing is R&L but even then I doubt it. Don't seem like an obvious fit for Bestival either.

Omar Souleyman is doing the Dour Festival in Belgium. Seeing his 2011 performance was a key factor in me registering for Glastonbury as it looked like so much fun so I'm hoping he pops up and makes the lineup look a little less dour,

Noooooo! Anyone but Elbow! He was so annoying saying 'Latitoooooode' you have my 'gratituuuuuude' etc etc(saying that, I only managed two songs before heading off to The Horrors instead who were on top form!)

There's plenty of other places they could be secretive about. The whole thing about acts being asked to stay quiet isn't something exclusive to Glastonbury, it'll happen at the vast majority of festivals big and small.. We just notice it more because a. Glastonbury typically announces the lineup much later than other festivals and b. The Glastonbury lineup is generally subject to a lot more speculation than say Big Day Out.

As to what Elbow could be doing that they can't announce yet - I'd guess that pretty much every reasonably sized non specialist festival would love to book them, and I don't think many places have announced a full lineup yet.

Goat were loads of fun at Latitude, and they seem to have got quite big lately, would love to see them do Park or West Holts.
