I'm very very suspicious of Courtney Barnett actually being an exclusive at Green Man. Seems odd.

Either they have a huge amount of faith in her album, or she just wasn't playing anywhere else/isn't in the UK for other dates, I reckon. I can see them wanting her on an exclusive vs. similar sized festivals though: F. no 6, EotR, etc. Odd one though, I agree.

Yep, see previous page.

Doh. Dilemma here as I know the lineup will be out next month at the earliest but Koko's small and it'll probably sell out by then.

And all that talk of Bon Iver...I'm not gonna get my hopes up. 2016 hopefully. I'm still kicking myself over not going to his Manchester show, thought he'd be rubbish at an arena and he's been gone ever since.

With all the publicity of the new album and a big push on his career as Father John Misty, I'd have thought he'd want to spread it about as much as possible, so I don't reckon he'll be exclusive anywhere - I'd not have thought he was 'big' enough to explore that, really...which makes Courtney Barnett all the more odd...and a shame, as I'd love to have seen her at The Park at GF2015.

Ben

I agree. I was expecting him to show up all over the place this summer so I am gutted if this is the case.

This is from their FB page yesterday "All the fantastic reviews of Father John Misty's I Love You Honeybear are making us even more excited for his exclusive Green Man appearance this August"

All this exclusive business is really starting to wind me up now. I can understand headliners to a certain extent but now it's trickling down to acts much lower down the bill and seems completely unnecessary.

it would be even better if they could be booked to do 'Handsworth Revolution' in full, which they're doing a few shows of in April.

Yeah I concur..really tempted to go to the Bham gig at the institute, but it's like £25 and I'm a bit skint at the moment. It's not sold out, so I'll keep my eye on it. But yeah that would be a sweet set at Glastonbury

I am right in saying there is usually plenty of cross over between Parklife and Glastonbury? Lot of acts there I would like to see at GF, Ben Howard, Grace Jones, Wu Tang, Caribou, Metronomy, James Blake, Jungle

Indeed there's too many to mention, but hoping positively they have got a lot of them booked up for GF

i honestly can;t remember how much crossover there was last year, but i'm hoping there's a lot this year! some great stuff on there - Wu Tang Clan, Caribou, Jessie Ware, FKA twigs, Jamie xx, Nicolas Jar, Todd Terje, Mac Demarco, Action Bronson, Earl Sweatshirt, Hercules & Love Affair, and that's not even including all the great DJs they've got. shame it's such a shite festival, because the lineup is brilliant

Didn't Latitude have Goat as an exclusive last year? Seems like some festivals just want to be able to say they have exclusives, regardless of who it is.

On the strength of this I would ALMOST be tempted to go if it wasn't so close to Glastonbury... Praying for a whole load of crossover.

They have no business getting a line-up that great. The w*nkers.

Just had a look at the line up for myself. In addition to those (brilliant) acts already mentioned you have Nas performing Illmatic, Kaytranada, the Roots and Talobaman. Plus a load of DJs I would be very happy to see. If there isn't much crossover I think I'll be making a trip to Manchester...

There does seem to be some amazing line ups coming out this year, seems unlikely that the Glastonbury one will be poor, surely.

while the Parklife lineup is amazing, it's almost too good, if that makes sense.

looking at the list of stages, it's just non-stop clashes, so while there's shitloads on the lineup I want to see, realistically i'd only manage to see 7 or 8 max per day...

Yes, will console myself with this :)
