Funky Leisure has a poorly designed website and doesn't have any significant online advertising presence.

The site has been running since Feb 2007 but hasn't generated backlinks, social media interest and doesn't rank for the major terms.

But isn't your competitors the likes Black & Millets with the addition of having a disadvantage of going after only one lot of their customers tho?

I'm still not understanding the difference between a camping shop and a festival shop.

but it is a viable business, something you don't yet have. Perhaps reserve your gloating and smugness for when you have something to gloat and be smug about? ;)

As I said, there's good reason why the website is as it is. There's more to this lark than designing pretty pink kittens, and there's much more to life than social media.

I am not gloating nor do I feel smug. I understand that this is a difficult business to run and e-commerce is difficult to make a success of.

I am sorry, but there is no reason (aside from cost and lack of web expertise) for the site to be how it is.

There's more to life than social media but an ecommerce site needs an online presence.

The fact that you're aware of their website gets to show they have an online presence. :P

As for the rest ... well ... you'll find it all out, too late.

I have extensive tools at my disposal to find even the most obscure of websites but yes, you have an online presence and yes you are known to regular festival goers but that is just a part of the market. However, you don't make significant profit.

The guys on here won't switch their allegiance. Was just looking for some people that know what they're talking about to review some of our products as part of a focus group.

Funky Leisure is nowt to do with efestivals. They merely run a white label shop for us.

Extensive tools? Yep, we've all got access to google.

But anyway ... enjoy your focus groups. How much further things get along the direction you're suggesting will be interesting to see.

I am genuinely sorry for any offence and keep you updated good or bad.

You will probably be right but it is worth a go, eh?

Google?

If you are a less regular festival goer/not a fanatic like those who are aware of this site, I'd wager you are far more likely to grab your festival kit at Tesco when you do the weekly shop when they get their displays out for the festival season.

Haha, need to calm. All i've done is ask a question on forum. If it bothers you then stop reading and replying.

I am calm. I use swear words like others use punctuation marks. I'm not going to stop reading and posting on this thread because I feel duty bound to my fellows on here to expose you - as I have done.

I'll be nice here. And honest. I think you are wasting your time.

Also, it's best to be honest with potential punters rather than try to pull the wool over their eyes.

I appreciate that and I am probably am wasting my time but it is not my livelihood. There are 8 of us working on this.

I didn't intend to deceive. I feel if i'd put a random name and then spoken about my site then i would have been deciving.
