This is great news. Along with Sleater Kinney reforming, basically this year is gonna be the year my 22 year old self (from '97) had been dreaming about. All we need now is Six. by Seven to be number 1.

Not been officially announced yet but Mick was tweeting people yesterday that they're playing London and Glasgow dates in June with possibly more to follow, and a couple of other people near to the band have confirmed it.

June 20th Glasgow barrowlands apparently. Supporting mogwai is the rumour

Sufjan will headline I think especially as new album out.

Matthew E White, Father John Misty should play. War On Drugs are a guaranteed headliner if playing Electric Picnic.

Guaranteed perhaps, but surely they aren't big enough to headline? Far more likely to be second from top or headlining the Garden Stage, I'd say.

How about Hot Chip headlining after Alexis Taylor's solo performance last year? They're about and doing festivals and seem like the type of band the festival would want to bump up to headliner... I could see PJ Harvey doing it too, with it essentially being her local festival and all.

Second from top of Green Man main stage last year, only behind Mercury Rev doing Deserter's Songs, and that was before the end of year acclaim.

Apparently Carrie's filming more Portlandia in the summer so S-K won't be playing live much for now - suppose it doesn't prevent them maybe playing something at the end of that period...

A comment on the 2014 highlights video they've just posted on Facebook said first announcement won't be as late as last year (19th Feb) but they're not sure exactly when it will be. So, hopefully looking at 2/3 weeks then.
