shoebox
Solid, solid and incredibly exciting line-up. Pretty damn happy with that!
Fareham Grecian
That is a great start! Sufjan AND War On Drugs. Great strength in depth already too. Guardian suggests that's all 3 headliners in place - Tame Impala Fri, Sufjan Sat, WoD Sun.

dirtycash
Getting Sufjan is a massive coup. I expect it will sell out very quickly this year.

Risteardo
Ah, really happy that Sufjan is playing. I know they've been trying to get him for years, so it is indeed a massive coup! Pond, Alvvays & Torres, so the under-card is looking strong also.
shoebox
Just noticed Jane Weaver towards the bottom of the list. I loved her album from last year (The Silver Globe). Also listened to that Natalie Prass album this morning and it's really quite lovely. All shaping up very nicely, with the exception of Sleaford Mods. Cannot stand them. wolfamongwolves
can you please post a pic of your reaction to the lineup news I can describe it for you. The mouth was wide open. It stayed that way for at least five minutes. I was in a state of shock. He has only played a couple of festivals ever. Unbelievable. Could not be happier Well done eotr
lamstonite
I've got age if adz which I adore. And I'll get the new one, but which other albums of his should I get?
kaosmark2
Illinois. One of the most beautiful and incredible albums you'll ever hear.
shoebox
The new one sounds like it might be more aligned with Seven Swans. So yeah, Seven Swans, Illinois and Age of Adz are his "essential" albums in my opinion, but it's all gold. From A Sun Came, all the way through. Get them all! teamcampesinos!
Any guesses when and who for the next line-up announcement? Can only realistically think of Young Fathers (at No. 6 the same weekend) from festivals on the same weekend... Modest Mouse would be a dream though i assume they would headline. paulwa
Courteney Barnett, Twilight Sad and Dengue Fever have new albums out prior to the festival and would get my vote. The latter were lined up to play a few years back, pulling out at the last minute. No idea if any of them are touring in September though, as none of them are posting anything later than April/May at the moment.

Courtney Barnett is a Green Man UK Festival exclusive, so while I fully agree that she'd have been a great and obvious addition to EOTR, it ain't gonna happen this year. lamstonite
Thankyou! I'll let you know how I get on Wow im gobsmacked! Illinois is incredible! Ive had it on repeat for the last few days and cant stop thinking about it I feel like a kid again! I really enjoyed Michigan too. So bright and fresh Swans sounded good too but was quite morose after the colour in Illanois. Probably come back to it once ive exhausted thesr other two. age of adz makes alot more sense now too thanks!
kaosmark2
I can never get fed up of Illinois. So good. I've spent days just listening to it on repeat. Can't do with with his others.
Blannyboy
Still waiting for Amazon to deliver Illinois, love Chicago and Casimir Pulaski Day. I wonder if he will come complete with wings? Edited February 12, 2015 by Blannyboy
paulwa
I'm a bit worried about Sufjan, for some of the reasons hinted at above. He's a massive capture for the festival and a "must see" of genius proportions certainly. I just think I might get bored after about 5 songs if he meanders into too much morose stuff. I really want to enjoy it, but I can see myself slinking off to the Garden Stage if there's something with more guitars and rhythm happening. A couple of years ago I went to see Jonathan Richman hoping for all the old hits and he never played a single one. I fear that Sufjan will also take the artistic line rather than playing the crowd-pleasers. Who knows, but I'll be there to find out. lamstonite
Been listening to Michigan all day today, think it's even better than Illinois beautiful hints of drone seeping through
cortezuk
Really strong first announcement so ticket bought! Really hoping second announcement has Decemberists Father John Misty Bob Mould Thurston Moore Strand of Oaks Angus and Julia Stone Joana Serrat Afghan Whigs Augustines That would do nicely!
