That's pretty cool. Just saw pictures of the waterfront venue and I *think* its not in the city center and I'm pretty sure we don't have any other indoor real music venues outside of the city center so not sure how it'll work out.

They're using abandoned warehouses & stuff apparently.

Why? Surely the point of moving it to the docklands would be to make it 'picturesque' with the Mersey in the background etc, if they just wanted to stick it in abandoned buildings well there's no shortage of them in L'pool and I bet most of the others wouldn't tie them into some expensive 'regeneration project' either

i don't think i'm gonna be going to this anymore due to going to Primavera the week after, but the lineup for this now looks insane

massive step up from previous years imo! although Unknown Mortal Orchestra/Fucked Up vs. Thurston Moore/Flaming Lips vs. Evian Christ is a hell of a clash (i'm assuming from the poster that they're gonna clash)

Anyone know if there is any way to go to this now (apart from being local) without dropping a few hundred on accommodation? It's just bugging me now how great value this is.

What type of things are you looking for?

You'll struggle to find anything other than a premier inn type thing I'd imagine

Yeah I was only looking for the real budget stuff anyway, as I was looking at the hostel packages initially before they all disappeared. Premier Inn prices and such have swelled up naturally.

Something else came up though which means I don't think I'd be able to go away that weekend so it doesn't matter now, but cheers.

Really? There's so many more recogniseable names compared to last years lineup, well to me there is anyway. Potential to be one of the best festivals this year IMO

had a listen to a few of these, Neon Waltz sound pretty good and The Bohicas as well.

Set times are out... Slightly gutted Fucked Up clash with the Flaming Lips but excited nevertheless.

Slightly annoyed The Vaccines don't finish until midnight when the last train home leaves Sandhills at 23:45.
