Very jealous of those there for The National tonight. Thinking it could be one of those ‘I was there’ moments. They’re in fine live form at present (I would say their best ever), and this is just the perfect slot for them. I’ll have to wait until Castlefield Bowl on Thursday for my fix.

2016 had plenty of glasto specific moments - viola, gibb, eavis etc. But yeah they made some great choices adapting the show from the Wembley gig I saw the other year. All killer no filler in terms of the song choices, and Arabesque was probably my surprise highlight. I think 2016 just edges it for me purely because I preferred the encore. Both brilliant sets, as was 2011. They know how to nail the Pyramid.

Less for me to see today, but 4 of them are must-sees - Newdad, James, Alvvays & The National. Damn that James / Steel Pulse clash, otherwise it would be 5. -

There is a drone shot of Coldplay & it's very busy, but it is not as busy as Elton. Coldplay on the left hand side thins out & doesnt go right to the back. Elton is chocker. Still a massive crowd for Coldplay though. Looks bigger than McCartney IMO -
Prydz was decent, but it was heaving. No room to dance properly. DJ Stingray was the one yesterday. Full on pelters.
