Listened to this earlier on today and it's absolutely fantastic. Best essential mix I've heard in a long, long time.ย

What are the chances of her appearing on the farm?

I think it's probably hard to gauge, but she's playing Gottwood/Farr/Sunfall and she's nothing currently booked over Glastonbury weekend, so I'm hoping high, she'd be a tremendous late night edition not to be missedย

Solardo added Glasto event on their fb. Seen them a week ago live in Cardiff and they absolutely smashed it!ย

I seen Bicep last Friday in Cardiff too wasn't too impressed but I think poorย acoustics and poor sound system affected their performance

Solardo aren't my thing at all but I'm sure there will be plenty of people happy with thatย

Probably Spaceport or something ala Topping/Ahmed last yearย

Agreed on the sound system, it was pretty quiet, not as ear splitting as it should have been!

Anyone recovering from a heavy one this weekend? Go anywhere good? I ended up at fabric again for bicep and ilian tape, was a fantastic night bar the crowd and me getting random searched (nothing wrong with me getting searched) was just a bit embarrassing on my behalf when I got picked out in the smoking area making me feel like I'd done something even though I hadn'tย

feeling sorryย for myself here :(

Went to see Tycho Monday at The Electric Brixton, whilst Tycho aren't technically 100% electronica the support was Heathered Pearls who was playing some awesome techno / prog house stuff. Totally different to Tycho's shoegaze / ambient style (who were also awesome as well).

Good night all roundย :D

On saturday I went to Hidden in Manchester, I would recommend steering clear of this venue to be honest - no matter who the promoters are.

A classic 2017 club venue its a converted mill on the outskirts of the city centre. No proper toilets so long ass queues for portaloos. No urinals. Total building capacity is large but the space on the main dancefloor is comparatively small making it a massive crush. You can dance at the back which is good but its not the same atmosphere. Also attracts a mostly young and aggro crowd.

Was aiming to see midland and Job jobse but barely saw any of either due to the above. Saw Peggy Gou for a bit and she was alright, 7/10.

Avoid hidden. Manchester so desperately needs a competent mid sized venue that is bigger than soup kitchen and smaller than warehouse. This used to be sankeys but for a variety of reasons that just didnt work. Admittedly this night was supposed to be at Mantra Warehouse in Ancoats but had to be moved.

I've noticed Wire in Leeds just getting worse and worse due the crowd, do you agree? I believe you're Leeds based

yeah i do agree, unfortunately.

They do get some big names now so they probably really have to pack them in to pay the artists. I think its partly cos im getting older but partly cos the kids these days can be quite rude and not care about those in the space around them / pushing past etc, and lets be honest they are taking a lot of drugs.

Acetate is still one of the best nights tho and they tend to attract a decent crowd. And butter side up.

The only venues that i find especially and particularly reliable for a great night out is the soup kitchen and cosmic slop.
