All dance chat welcome on this thread! I've always fancied it, the production values are incredible and the vibe looks positive. I tried to get a ticket a few years ago but at the time it was almost as difficult as getting one for Glastonbury. I haven't bothered since but I have done a couple other dance festivals on the continent. Mysteryland in Amsterdam (think Tomorrowland's little cousin) was fun, a looooooot of hardstyle and gabber though - they love it over there, Sonar in Barcelona was amazing, would definitely return. Loveland in Amsterdam was good and Kappa Futur Festival in Turin was also fantastic. Funnily enough, the worst/moodiest dance fests have been over here! There are loads more I'd like to try before I get completely too old - Melt (Germany) and Untold (Romania) are definitely on the list

I work with a couple of people who have been and they said it was amazing, another friend was coming through the airport most people use to get there and back and there was a DnB rave going on inside the airport haha.

 

The only festival I've been to on the continent is Exit a while back and it was class, the setting was something else and the price was very reasonable, it cost about the same to fly BA from Newcastle to London, then onto Serbia, a festival ticket and a 4 star hotel for the time we where there as it did for a Glastonbury ticket haha. Also if you bought 4 drinks which was under a tenner if I remember correctly you got a 5th free.

Much as I hope this is real, they’re missing about 10 names (24 played genosys in 2019) and I thought that usually when block9 they announce they announce the full lineup?

Nah, the poster drop is usually around this size. Then you get the full shebang when the whole line up drops 3-4 weeks pre-festival.

I take that back, @tigger123 - you're quite right in that the last first poster drop for Genosys had twice the number of names. Still trying to get clarification on where it landed on socials.
