Zacko
Bit gutted I've got a Saturday ticket, as Sunday is a bit more stacked for me. Usually do two days but after last year when the Sunday was abandoned by us I think I prefer smashing one day out and then saving the multiple days for Glasto and the like. Can't believe he was a no-show last year. As soon as the substitute generic tech house DJ who replaced him fired up, I knew the dream was over. Still had a good night in the Naughty Corner, but he was going to be a highlight. Still don't know why he never turned up
IceCreamVan
I thought someone just said Overmono was a UK exclusive but they're on both loves saves and gala? Lovr folamour... hopefully this year

Would have said Four Tet is a headliner outright! Not sure on that, Four Tet is subbing Boardmasters i think (or maybe second stage headliner) which has a similar daily capacity. They had Bicep last year who did WH and Four Tet was on the park too for a glasto comparison Years and Years subbed other which is i guess similar to WH headline - so Four Tet is just a good booking (as always!) listenstolotsofcrap
Bit of a wait in the queue but grabbed tickets for Field Day, be good to see Mr R D James again. Looking at the lineup, I really hope Arca, Sudan Archives and Kelela get nice spots on the Glastonbury card, be great to see them there too. They did mistakenly confirm Justice when the tickets went on sale but quickly deleted it. Yeah, that's a monumental lineup tbf. Give it a few days and that'll sell out for sure

Hector Oaks is a big favourite of our leader @bennyhana22if I recall correctly. Surgeon, too. And Mills of course. In fact, I'd be surprised if you don't see him there! Printworks has gone all out in the final season.

Klock b2b DVS1 alone is worth the entry fee (almost!). DVS1 is one of the very greatest, IMO. And yeah, Hector pretty much only spins vinyl and is bloody good at it! Tho' Child 1 has alluded to some possibly questionable personal behaviours... Ben Edited January 26, 2023 by bennyhana22

bennyhana22
I have been in the presence of greatness, my young Padawans. Oscar Mulero played a 3h set this morning that was, quite simply, majestic. Clever and nuanced, intelligent and narrative. I make no apologies for that sounding a bit muso arsey, but it's the difference between 95% of techno and the 5% cream risen to the top. Even when he was going really hard and noisy, there was still so much going on in the tracks - another reminder that we shouldn't accept poor sound systems. This stuff we love is (like ogres) layered, and we deserve to hear it! The White Hotel has got to be my favourite club, I think. Perfect size, nicely edgy and grimy, but with an invariably brilliant crowd. Alex Morgan followed the master with 2h (4.30-6.30) that were perfect for keeping the capacity crowd right on top. THAT is how raving should be. Lovely door staff, no searches, discreet floor staff and a wonderful, communal experience. Absolute belter. Little bit tired now.
