i have to say though, this year has to be a roaring success because i think snoop is the parklife connection, elbow and james are obviously the manchester connection and neil has said kaiser chiefs are looking at different slots than expected. They need to be able to follow it up next year.

To be fair though, Example was the biggest headliner last year and seemed to love it based on his twitter so word may well get around.

Example headlined Parklife the year before as well.

Rudimental and New Order then for KC next year.

I think they have got into bed with Parklife.

they've been in bed to an extent with the people who run Parklife for a number of years.

It's via that that they wrongly got credited as part of the production team for another festival at some point (I think that other festival was Festival No 6, tho i'm, not 100% sure now).

I forget the details of all that now, but I think the KC people told me that the company who do Parklife do the KC bars (and perhaps more, I forget).

That is all correct.

whp/parklife have a small share in KC .

I think KC sell the bar rights to whp/parklife.

All i can say is that i enjoy getting a rise and taking the piss out of folk and situations .................. When i have called the the festival Manchester Calling it wasnt well recieved tbh ! And they run it their way!

Henieken and Bulmers appearing on the sponsor list is definitely a good sign that the bars are (hopefully) going in the right direction. Hopefully away from cans and the only cider being mixed fruits and pear!

The Koppaberg bar that only sold 2 varieties, cloud berry and elderflower and lime was heaving every time I passed it and the cider was in plastic glasses. Shame that doesn't look like its gonna be back as it was lovely

ah yes the cloudberry is amazing. i'm talking about the normal bars, which were incredibly poor both the last two times i went. .

Maybe that bar will return, it would make sense as it was so busy as you mentioned.

I still buy the elderflower and lime now, never seem to see the cloud berry anywhere. Mind you I don't bother putting the cucumber in it to bring back the festival feel Edited by ramragon
