He said that he doesn't want people to know who's supporting until they've bought tickets. All of the acts were booked before the shows were announced apparently. He doesn't want 'fans' of the other artist there. Rather he wants it to be that he is introducing his fans to different artists or that his fans are getting a bonus treat they didn't know they were getting when they booked the ticket.

Interestingly, he also said that some of the supports had headlined Wembley Stadium before.

He just says 'played' to be fair. Says they're arena sized. I was racking my brains to think of a Wembley headline act that would agree to sub Ed Sheeran.

There is no way One Direction will be supporting anyone, they could sell out Wembley on their own merit more than 3 times over. I'd guess the likes of Rudimental, Ellie Goulding, Example, the Script
