Sweet. Song is decent, not amazing but the certainty of a new album finally arriving is good. Hope they're back later on for a proper tour but those dates are nicely set up for them to do Glastonbury. If only.

If the new Public Service Broadcasting album is as good as Drowned in Sound's review suggests it is, then it will get serious airplay in my gaff.
Can see them headlining a stage this year... hope so.

That Susanne Sundfor album is really good as well.

And for anyone who likes their Moderat-type electronica, I thoroughly recommend Propaganda by Youarehere.

Cologne was definitely the last day when I read it earlier. Ah well, I wasn't much expecting Metz to rock up at the big G anyway.

I have a bit of a soft spot for Muse. They were the first band I saw live when I was 15 and they blew my hormonally challenged brain away, I just don't think they have another good album in them.

Yeah I'm actually not looking forward to the album that much, but just had to post that when I saw it I'm just expecting the album to sound really forced, like a bunch of songs that are heavy just for the sake of being heavy, and lacking in any real substance - an album full of Liquid State, if you will.

I thought that, but Pitchfork have the dates wrong - the Canadian fest is in July. Would love to see em at Glasto.

Great spot Robin. Would be an interesting one for sure. William's Green/low JPT I'd imagine. Their live shows are extremely fun. Not very Glastonbury but very very willing to be proved wrong.

I liked Liquid State!! An album full of it would be a bit dull, but I reckon the "heavy" its going be just like the 2nd law when they played up to to the rumours of it being 'dubstep' and it was like one song.

The rest will be a standard bunch of Muse stadium rock songs

Thing is, I would have been expecting that myself, but they seem to be making a conscious decision to go all out heavy at the moment. The setlists towards the end of the last tour (closing the main set at Coachella with Agitated, for instance), playing as many heavy festivals as possible, and the fact outside sources are saying it's heavy (the guy shooting the video for the lead single keeps exclaiming how heavy it is, although he also said the album would be "a game changer for humanity").

This is why I think it'll just sound forced and heavy for the sake of it, because it seems they're purposely trying to go this way, rather than this being what comes naturally.

If this album's shit I'll probably not be excited for any future releases.

It's never a good idea for a band to force a sound. I don't think it's ever worked when a band's changed direction and they've tried to go back and please former fans.

yeah i hate when bands are constantly telling the media what their new album is gonna sound like - whether it be 'heavy' or 'like our first two albums' or whatever. never a good sign, and always a disappointment. but then again, can't be any worse than the last few Muse releases in my eyes

This year we're getting some new albums from some very big acts (tastes out the window these are just the biggest acts that i can think of releasing this year... not in order).

Muse, Mumford & Sons, Rihanna, Kanye West, Florence and The Machine, Coldplay, The Libertines, Madonna, Imagine Dragons, Noel Gallagher, The Prodigy, Snoop Dogg, Faith No More, Lana Del Rey, Tame Impala, The Vaccines,

Also maybe albums from Adele, Black Sabbath, The Dead Weather, Foals, Metallica

Yeah looks like a big year for music, fair few massive acts releasing this year!
