Yes!!! The War on drugs is one of the bands that was on the top of my wish list for 2015.

My 3rd trip to Stradbally is now looking more likely

I got a ticket for this solely based on the acts announced so far, be interesting to see who'll headline. I think Florence and the Machine and Noel Gallagher are possibilities.

The headliners are a long shot, Florence is good possibility because she is touring around that time.

Other bands that could headline, Nick Cave, The Strokes, The Black Keys, Kasabian and Noel gallagher is a possibility as well

I'm guessing we'll get Florence, Ride, Jesus & Mary Chain, Modest Mouse, Patti Smith, Tame Impala, Alabama Shakes, Lykke Li, Alt-J, Swans, PiL, Panda Bear, Sleater-Kinney, Chromeo, Manic Street Preachers amongst others

Those mentioned by Shanndy all are a strong possibility to be on the bill and I will be looking forward to most of them, especially Ride,Tame impala, Manics and Swans

But apart from Florence, I guess they are not headline material. Maybe Alt-J can headline ?

I believe that one of the headliners, will have a more mainstream appeal like Outcast last year....perhaps Drake this year

Going by the Longitude line up does it mean that most of those acts probably won't now play Electric Picnic? There's never really been a lot of crossover between the two, has there?

I reckon Ride and Florence would probably headline if they play, you could probably throw New Order and maybe The Strokes into the mix too

As far as I know Longitude acts generally don't play at EP too

no way Ride are headliner material.

I'd say wait and see what Bestival has as we'll probably get similar.

Interpol are playing MCD gigs soon, so seeing as they don't seem to be at Longitude, i'd imagine it's likely they're booked for EP. they're back in Europe for a few festivals in August after spending July in N.America.

Mark Ronson is apparently rumoured to be headlining Bestival, I think if does play Bestival it's a strong possibility he headlines the Picnic as well.

New Order would be nice, but I think it's a long shot!!

End of the Road has announced its line up with the War on Drugs playing both festivals. Hopefully some of the others act will play the picnic too in particular Sufjan Stevens, Future Islands, Tame Impala and Alvvays http://endoftheroadfestival.com/line-up/music/

Festival No 6 first announcement is next Tuesday so should get a few clues from that. Last year EP shared Beck and Pet Shop Boys as well as a few others

Grace Jones is playing festival no 6, which makes it really likely for the picnic.

The Flaming Lips are headlining a festival a week before in the UK, I really hope they added as well

Would love to see Aphex Twin at EP, he really is due a visit there seeing that he has never played the festival for its entire history, join my facebook group to get the man playing there, he hasn't played Ireland for nearly four years now. https://www.facebook.com/groups/306301782765054/

Underworld are a UK exclusive for bestival, that must make them a strong possibility. I would love to see them.

Launch date is apparently on the 4th March at the Chocolate Factory in Dublin, bring on the line up. I got this from the EP facebook Posts to a Page section.
