Space Shanty
Maybe it's a good thing that Jilted and, to a lesser extent, FOTL stand head and shoulders above their other stuff and that he didn't try to repeat the trick. Anyways, if they play it'll probably still be great craic at that time of night when the head is all over the place
ThomThomDrum
The formula he stumbled across is great for live shows, but not for personal album consumption. Yep, fair wack to him for doing his thing and making his dosh. I dont begrudge him any of that. I just live in hope regarding his out put. I dont believe, personally, it an unrealistic thought process to think that the mind that came up with Experience and evolved musically into Jilted, could possibly at some further stage evolve its musical output yet again to produce something very unique and brilliant in its own right. Surely that spark still lies within? Or is it ridiculous to think that the genius he showed may have the potential to strike again in some other direction? (not an expectation of course) Im not looking for Experience mark 2, or Jilted mark 2. Im living in hope that Howllet will go on a personal, artistic, journey and invent something new that we have not heard the likes of before; that will make us take stock; stand up and intently listen............ I will of course listen to his new output, but if its a rehash of old styles I aint going to get too excited about it all. If they play Glasto i will surely be there and will have a blast.............But I would love for LH to have a further cerebral impact on my musical listening............ As I say............live in hope
The Nal
As I say............live in hope Actually gave up hope years ago. I'm always interested but only 6 albums in 23 years?
ThomThomDrum
Actually gave up hope years ago. I'm always interested but only 6 albums in 23 years? Yet he will piss and moan about the state of music these days and the impact of the likes of EDM etc etc but yet continues to follow his own formula. Surely someone like him having a go at how stale music has become would be motivated to use his skills to invent something new, or is that too risky for him? Or does he have that ability still? Or was it all a fluke? Ill never give up hope......................but, yeah, im not full of it...........

Made him aware of how easy it is to fuck up a legacy. 3 albums in 5 years Babys Got a Temper..... 3 albums in 18 years Well, 13 since Babys Got a Temper but 3 albums in 18 years is Kate Bush standard. Can't argue with that, realistically that is what most bands do.

ThomThomDrum
Did Howlett put the setlist up prior to the gig?? Yep............odd eh? Dont think Id like that myself TBH
ThomThomDrum
Personally I think its a grand set-list, but the lack of Out Of Space would leave me pretty disappointed/perplexed (unless of course he hit the crowd with some other early classic tunage, but thats so rare it basically doesnt happen) OOS is such a crowd pleaser. No one goes to a Prodigy gig and doesnt sing along to that breakdown. But LH obviously doesnt view it in the same way he views the likes of Their Law, Poison etc etc. I always thought it was nailed on......... found home in 2009
Why did people stop talking about this?? Prodigy, Other Stage Headliners, Sunday Night .... PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! Is Sunday the only night they're free? If not I'd rather they were Saturday other headliner.
SmellyWellies
They are in Belgium Saturday... free on Sunday Shame, if they could be there saturday, it would be the Other stage for me
rivalschools.price
I'm loving the new stuff(I know I'm in the minority)l would love it if they played on the Sunday. With the rumours not looking good for Sundays headliners I could do with a good alternative on the other stage.
SmellyWellies
Its possible, I owuld love it if they did. I dont think any likely rumours to headline Sunday now could top it for me over Prodigy...
Gucci Piggy
Yeah stick em headlining Other on Sunday. If it's Swift I'll see em and if it's Blur I'll skip em.
LondonTom
Prodigy Vs. Blur again? I can't see it, it would look very 'repetitive'.
