5co77ie
Just been reading this fascinating (and well written) commentary of the Council meeting regarding SJM's proposed Shoreham Airport located festivalThere's some quality sniping at festival organisers by those who have been educated on raves by the Torygraph's views on rave culture by the sound of ithttp://www.theargus.co.uk/news/11708494.Councillors_to_vote_on_Shoreham_Airport_music_festival/- read from the bottom up. it's amazing how some people's views of festivals haven't changed since the Eighties.More on the SJM proposal in this news piece from last year:http://www.efestivals.co.uk/news/14/141203f.shtml
atomised
I read that last night. Be interesting to see how it turns out. It sounds like SJM went into it very well prepared and aware its an area with a higher than average percentage of NIMBYs. The residents seem to have come across pretty badly in their attempts to reel off as many stereotypes as possible. The police objections don't seem that well considered either
LondonTom
Apparently SJM have ruled out Meghan Trainor then One resident asks about the bass vibration in their home, cites when a band played at the Red Lion. Griffiths says there will be no bass, will tell artists that. In my personal opinion, a gig with no bass would not be worth the money - no matter who the artist is. It would sound ridiculous. I would challenge that answer. One councillor says event shouldn't go ahead because kids should be studying for exams instead of partying. Yup I am sure they always be studying for exams every day of the year Comedy gold throughout from both sides tbh!
jump
Is there room for another 70,000 fest in this country?

atomised
Seems permission has been granted with 92 conditions. Amongst them 1am finish instead of 3am and limit of 35000 capacity a day
