Thankyou to people in this thread for suggesting Caribou subbing them on WH. The second I heard about this my heart sank at the clash (because Caribou is 100% playing (but luckily not at the Park like I used to think)).

Great news about Hot Chip but a clash with Caribou on the Park would DESTROY me.

On the other hand, Dan subbing Hot Chip on WH would be the best start to the festival possible. Please can it happen!

Caribou doesn't strike me as the WH type though? I can see Hot Chip there and Caribou subbing would be incredible but it would be an unusual booking surely...

Andorra / MOHK era Caribou (and Manitoba!) is more West Holts than Hot Chip, that's for sure.

I saw Caribou at a festival in Lisbon warming up for Radiohead as the sun was going down...

Might be clutching at straws, but would a Caribou sub-headline set require as much time as 'regular ones'? I mean, I've never seen him before but I'd imagine the set-up is relatively minimal? In which case, less switchover time = later start?

When I saw Caribou last October he played Sun pretty much at the end of the set (second to last song I think) - warm, yellow lights were shone into the crowd. Was pretty special. Especially as Can't Do Without You dropped straight after.

That followed by Hot Chip is the stuff of dreams.
