Hybrid Theory is an album that sounds completely guff today. I loved it when I was younger, but if I put it on now I struggle to think of an album that sounds more dated than it does. Supercharger is a close second, but at least Bulldozer is alright still

Any of SOAD's albums still sound incredible in 2015. Same for Deftones.

Deftones are complete w*nk, but that's my view, I just don't like them.

Hypnotize was shit when it came out so isn't suddenly going to sound great. Mezmerize was a decent album but Toxicity the beat imo.

Whatever is thought abouts the albums now is one thing but how people can stick up for SOAD in a debate if you like but not recognize their field of music is just silly. I'm not saying they aren't a rock/alt metal band too.

Also debut slipknot. Before nu metal was a thing, korn, deftones, soad and slipknot were called new metal. The scene then warped into nu metal and those bands were incorrectly lumped in with limp bizkit, linkin park, spineahank, powerman 500 etc

It may not have been all the way through their career but at the start certainly. LP could be dismissed from that genre after Meteora tbf.

As with most acts their field of music is just as debatable as how good they are you massive plonker.

Slipknot's debut is one of my all time favourite albums. I agree though, to lump KoRn, Slipknot, SOAD and Deftones in with Linkin Park and the other Nu Metal tripe is unfair.

Been ages since I've heard it but I remember being really surprised by how much I enjoyed the Linkin Park song 'Waiting for the End'. Shows that they're at least decent songwriters deep down if you take away the embarrassing attitude behind most of their music.

Okay, in that cas then Wolf Alice would need to be 4th.

Acts playing in corresponding positions on different days don't have to be the exact same size wtf.

Going by this logic, Alexisonfire being 4th down this year means The Maccabees and ATL should have been 3rd down. Tyler, the Creator subbing NME means Twin Atlantic should have been headlining it. You can repeat this point with pretty much every position on the lineup because there will always be different strength acts playing corresponding slots due to the availability of acts and what slots acts are willing to play.

No you're correct, they shoul be higher if bigger. Don't use AOF as an example when they got 4th due to silly reunion hype!

What if they have 9 bands bigger than Wolf Alice to play the main stage, but after Wolf Alice there's a decent sized gap in the size of acts they have to play the main stage? Wolf Alice would be 4th down and the other acts playing 4th down would be smaller than them.

Silly Will, why would they do that?

Festival bookers aren't stupid they'd make sure to book 2 others acts of the exact same size as Wolf Alice and put them as 4th down on the other 2 days just like they do every year for every band in every position

Maybe this is why Gazza's so adamant that Foals won't headline. Because the other two headliners would have to be exactly the same size and that would be too weak.

Although with the new cheap prices it's all going to be weaker anyway! No more sub sized acts for R&L.

Has Adele headlined Glastonbury before? Because they apparently only have one new headliner this year so it can't be her and Foos if she hasn't. Her odds are based on a surge of bets whereas Foos is probably just because of them pulling out last year rather than any info.

Sorry but I thought Michael Eavis in an interview saying that all next year's headliners have all played before because of the lack of potential headliners at the moment and the year after they will two new headliners or could be just saying that to keep people guessing!

Nah he said next year's headliners are booked, as are 2017's, and that of the six, four are returning headliners and two are new headliners.

I'm sure it'll turn out to be bollocks anyway.

Yup, they've never done that when tickets were the best part of £100 but they are going to do it when they are £70 now for a day ticket and their headliner costs over 60% of that to see on their own minimum. The difference between you and me Will is I know what I'm talking about and don't make shit up to defend a non-existent point, you do and have here.

Well yes, you wouldn't think that's be too hard to work out.
