thewayiam
BST couldn't get permission to host him last year. I wasn't aware BST wanted him last year but I not get given they might look to book the friendly non-offensive if you like acts for it, it's understandable. Coachella seems like a good bet then - over the past few years (apart from 2013) they've had a hip-hop headliner, and him and Kendrick seem like the only ones left (who are big enough) to do it It does indeed and a Lolla Chile headline except for that 2013 year has played Coachella since it started or at least 2010 I think. LCD Soundsystem and Calvin Harris are likely to be two of them, but I could see Mumford & Sons and Eminem in the mix too as two could share a line although Eminem wouldn't be one. Andre91
Saw Bullet For My Valentine tonight and they were really awesome. With them saying that they haven't been approached by Download at all for 2016 (yet), does anybody else think that they would make a decent NME headliner at R&L? willutalk
Coachella is a bit of a non-festival, in the grand scheme of things. You pay a shit load of money and have a time like being in prison if you like a few pints, such as me. They get some good bands and curate a fairly decent line-up , but I really don't feel like its a festival I'll ever go to. They had no idea who The Stone Roses are FOR FUCKS SAKE! I just don't get the hype behind the 'festival'. Unless they enjoy it, the eFester shouldn't be the fooled soul that a lot of people are. Gucci Piggy
Bullet are as big as Bizkit, aren't they?
dentalplan
Nah, Limp Bizkit are practically a household name. BFMV could now be described as up and comers that never quite made it - their smaller tour of town venues has (I think) only just sold out after a few months, but if they were as big as they're meant to be it should have sold out in a weekend. Considering they were only 4th down main at their peak, NME would be a step up from that and The Pit is a more likely stage for them to headline. truthpigeon
What with rumours of Guns N Roses original line up reuniting, anyone think there's a chance they could headline?
dentalplan
Eventually, but I think they'd play their own huge shows and/or Download first when it does happen, so not for a while yet.

I just don't get the hype behind the 'festival'. Unless they enjoy it, the eFester shouldn't be the fooled soul that a lot of people are. In fairness to them over there, both The Stone Roses and Blur were never a 'big' thing. Blur had only played small venue's and The Stone Roses had their split before they had that chance to 'make' it. The people we were camped next to hadn't heard of Blur at least and I imagine for the fest to get them which looks a massive coup in anyone's fest together co-headline was all it was going to be. The fact the festival always sells out quickly made it viable to do it, if it was a R&L case as of now I doubt they would have gone for it. The fact that YYY's played behind both and are a bigger deal over there as well. But then since then, Blur have played a show at MSG. JSmurphy
Only heard it the once but I'm not blown away by The 1975's new single, though it's a solid single track. Hope they're back next year.
