I do very much think that The Black Keys have lost a little of their credibility by incorporating session musicians in their live setup. I think that their status of a rare 'two piece' band has been lost, they seem less separate from more trad rock bands now. Hence the loss of their acclaim.

They seemed a lot more mundane at Glasto compared to Reading 2012 when they were still a two piece. Energy had been lost.

Would you say the same about Green Day?

I wouldn't.

I think Green Day have proved themselves to not be affected by the inclusion of a session musician. I think that their image still holds very well.

The Black Keys have added 100% of their band on top of the core members, Green Day 33%. It's a very different situation.

This might sound outrageous but what do people think about Skepta possibly headlining the NME next year

He's selling out Academy's across the UK and has arguably had one of the biggest tracks of the year in "Shutdown" and his album still isn't out yet

Nah, Boy Better Know only headlined the Dance Stage last year. Would be weird to have an act from that doing a big jump up the following year.

Leeds would be stupid not to heavily rebook grime on the lower stages after the amount of success it had this year. Honestly never seen smaller crowds for the headliners bar metallica and tents were packed every time. I'd put BBK on the same level as Knife Party and that was the unbelievably rammed. Stormzy, JME & Skepta will probably move up the stages in the coming years.

Also the amount of grime wannabes with bumbags was at an all time high

I think it's just seen as  cool now to like grime, BBK are definitelyy much bigger than the dance stage now, that place was rammed, i reckon they could do NME especially seen as most of the members have now had mainstream hits

Skepta - Shutdown, That's Not Me, Rolex Sweep

Wiley - Heatwave, Too Many Man

JME - Man Don't Care, Don't @ meme

Still reckon Skepta could sub it on his own

Also, JME's album was fantastic as a whole. Not too fussed about much other grime though, apart from the odd track here and there. Stormzy is decent, Skepta's latest tracks have been good, but I think JME is leagues ahead, way more enjoyable lyrically.

Is Giggs classed as grime? He's got some good stuff too.

Hell, if they put JME/Skepta together they could do 3rd on Main

But they're members of BBK and only headlined the dance stage. Or does the presence of thingy and whatsisname actually bring down their placing? :P

Wiley has had mainstream hits in the last five years and Skeptas mainstream hits have only just startedstarted, has still got an album go come

Huh? Wiley broke through alongside Dizzee Rascal and one of Skepta's 'hits' that you listed up the page came out while I was at school.
