What other predictions? I've barely touched R&L this year as I'm just not sure.

I don't like the idea of it as I don't like to see the festival that started it all for me lower themselves to this. 

It's clear that without your patronage and guidance the festival is withering and dying. Sinking to such a level is not becoming of a festival that Gazza once attended.

Maybe it should relocate back to London?

I hope it has some decent big name acts for next year's headliners well they should be as the amount of big name acts that I know are going to release new albums next year they included, biffy, rhcp, acrade fire, radiohead, the strokes, killers, weezer, dead weather, foo' s, bloc party, coldplay and of course stone roses, plus with the likes of blur, Florence, foals, New order and muse all still touring and playing live and included a possibility of a reformed LCD sound system. So My point is that there is plenty to chose from so I expect a good year!

Sadly I don't see Arcade Fire or Radiohead headlining next year, I don't think The Strokes will be around. I don't think The Killers will have any new material out in time. Foos are a weird one, they seemed a cert for Glasto a few months ago but as far as I'm aware there seem to be questions regarding if they'll be around next summer, if they're not at Glasto I can see them playing R&L. Coldplay aren't going to play. The rest all seem relatively reasonable tho, and I agree that next year has the potential to shape up quite nicely. 

I think our headliners will be three of: Foals, Florence, Kanye, RHCP, Stone Roses, Muse, Foos, or Biffy Clyro, with Foals / Foos / Muse being the ideal.

That would be such a bankable line up, plus for the two established headliners would make up for the foals naysayers

Yeah. Don't forget to point out though that New Order, Bloc Party, The Dead Weather and Weezer aren't big enough to headline.

I would add Green Day to your list thing. Don't think it'll happen as I think IOW will be after them - and also I personally think Biffy will headline and they won't have both on - but they're down as a rumour, meant to be touring and aren't announced to be around early June yet so it's a possibility.

Are Arcade Fire working on a album next year? Haven't heard anything about it but then again I haven't been using social media much of late so I could have missed something. Don't see them playing next year though

Yeah they'll be writing/recording next year although I doubt the album will be out until early 2017. As you say, they won't be there next year but 2017 is possible.

The festival must adjusy to it's £75 day tickets I suppose, on the upside Leeds can probably continue to decrease in size.

Some festival organiser said Foos won't be making up for their cancelled dates in 2016, and will be doing so in 2017 instead after the release of Sonic Highways 2. If true, I doubt they'll be around at all next Summer, as if they were they'd be making up for those cancelled shows. Neil also said today he's heard things about them not being at Glasto, and that he thinks Muse have replaced them. All in all it sounds to me like they've canned any European plans for next Summer.

I'm thinking between Foals, Kanye, RHCP, Stone Roses, Muse or Biffy at the moment (although I don't see the Roses happening, and Neil thinks Muse for Glasto). As said earlier, a few people are saying Flo is doing BST, which makes sense.

Your idea about the drop in day ticket prices because they're not spending as much on the lineup/headliners is definitely one of the more bizarre things I've read on this forum.

It's a shame New Order probably ain't quite a big enough draw these days as they have always been great at Reading and would be an awesome Sunday night band for me.

If Florence is doing BST, Muse at Glasto, Foo's not playing anywhere. Can't see them booking Kanye because of Big chill, just can't see The Stone Roses doing it(So i suppose this could happen but I can't see it) and Green Day doing IOW or own shows(if any).

RHCP - Not announced for any early summer events, makes me think they could be coming back for the late summer festivals. 

I don't really get how this is getting more likely. They're doing plenty of early summer events and even if the prediction that they're not gonna announce any more festivals in early summer is right, most big bands in that position plug those gaps with their own shows in the countries they've missed off.

RHCP are rumoured to be one of the Sonisphere headliners if it goes ahead. There are increasing pointers that it will. That of course means nothing, because even when three headliners and a date are announced it can still be cancelled. I think they'll be at R/L this year too.

But if they are one of the three lined up Soni headliners and it doesn't go ahead, they still won't have been booked for R&L, so it does mean something really.

Anyway, Biffy, Foals and RHCP would be a great set of headliners.
