We don't normally know that though, do we?

Think we normally just say something like a headliner and 7 other acts, and then the amount they actually announce doesn't even matter, really.

We never know what stages they're announcing stuff for, guess that's part of the guessing game. Anyway I'll find last year's and see what we did.

I guess we won't even find out what slots the announced acts are doing so I think we literally just looked at who got the most acts correct last year tbh.

That was way too big an explanation for such a pointless game.

Nah I think the original prediction games used to be the 6 acts on main and 3 acts on NME, so we would know the stages and placements, and then I did that one when there were acts blanked out on the lineup that we could guess, then somebody enjoyed that so much that they wanted to have everyone guess every act announced on every announcement. Kinda like when people used to reboot the hurt/heal game every time there was another announcement. But yeah I don't really oppose people playing a little game if they find it entertaining and it's better if predictions are kept in a thread away from the main discussion things.

Yeahh I was just talking about the games we did for the small announcements last year.

So I've been thinking, what are the chances of You Me At Six subbing?

They played 3rd down in 2014 but they've also sold out Wembley and have done an O2 show. If BMTH can do it, so can they.

I wouldn't be interested in them but they've been away from festival scene for a while so I could see them coming back in 2016 with a new album and sub spot.

It's either that or they'll rope them in for a coheadline or something.

Because it isn't 00s Benus

Because it isnt the 90s

Sorry but I do not get that as last year metallica headline last year, then last few years green day and cure have played reading they are hardly current acts. Plus I think festivals should have older acts on the bill as just having new current acts would be boring.

Theyre all big headline acts, hardly relevant to acts like Ride.

The latter would be true if you booked R+L however they choose mainly to go with current acts with the odd oldie I.e Ash

Think Ride would be great on one of the smaller stages but they are not a band that kids today will probably know at all so would not attract much of a crowd.

It is not like they get a great deal of airplay these days. The recent shows have been amazing but even at their peak they only got as high as second on the bill.

They are definitely better suited to Shiiine On where most of the crowd would know the entire set.
