They said the same in 2014 :ninja:

Has any band headlined with a 2 year gap at R&L?

But I swear more people were putting ADTR opposite Foals and Shikari on the main on their predictions?

should clarify, i meant play as a normal act before and then 2 years later they would headline

don't see why it can't be foals just because they are touring, Also i've changed my mind, i think foals will headline on their own with tame impala/alt J subbing them. if it's not foals then i think it will be either muse or biffy.

Alt-J subbed last year. They won't play this year.

ADTR have just posted a photo of themselves at Reading in 2014 on their Facebook.

The thing that stops me thinking they'll be there is that what they are doing so far scheduled has very little crossover with Reading. Literally a few of the bands have played max from what they are doing this year at Reading. We already have 1 from ROTR in RHCP so I think it'll be two max out of ADTR, ATDI, Parkway Drive, Issues, Memphis May Fire, Pennywise and Mastodon. That actually does give me a lot less hope for ATDI.

Where has the foals/disclosure co-headline thing come from? I think foals could do it on their own. Yeah, they arent huge but if mumfords can, foals definitely can.

Came from a guy on here who go the lineup poster early a couple of years back. They could do it on their own but so could The Strokes, Pulp, QOTSA and Paramore who all co-headlined in recent years.

They're much smaller than Mumfords as well.

Mumford are A LOT bigger than foals, still true however that foals can do it on their own, and i hope they do

Perhaps im being a bit bias because of personal taste, in terms of live performance though id put foals above mumford.

live performance wise, Mumford are usually pretty good but foals are always incredible. seriously, you can't find a bad live performance of them. I will say however, Yannis's voice tends to get a little shaky towards the end of what went down. simply because that song has no fucking brakes for "inhaling" (pun intended)

Just checked the Leeds Arena site and Foals is nearly sold out on there if I'm seeing it right, so we could possibly have Foals announced, I'm really intrigued to see who the last one is, its so open this year

It's not just whether an act has sold all their tickets out or whatever though. They'll want to flog tickets to people who have just been to the arena dates and wanting more Foals, whereas if they were announced next week then all the peeps going to their shows could shrug and say "well I'm already going to see them next month".

Over an act with no dates that would be completely exclusive.

I agree alot, a fucking right lot, but its about ticket sellers and Foals are probs in the bracket for most festivals if they had to they could turn to them but they are not going a shift a fuckload of tickets!. Throwing them in with someone like Disclosure who are about the same but with another genre makes alot of sense imo.

that's fair, but i feel like the audience that disclosure appeals to will not care if they headline just that they make an appearance, also it's even harder to pull off a house music headliner at reading than it is a rapper. If they do co-headline (which is perfectly possible) i think disclosure would be out first and then foals would end the night.
