Slipknot - Foo Fighters - Foals

that'd go down quite well I reckon something there for everyone with a bit off a crossover audience for Foos/Foals; Foos/Knot

plus if you get a big name indie band opposite Slipknot (i.e. The Vaccines) I doubt you'd hear too many complaints

You may be relatively new but you've been posting here long enough to know that whatever is announced there'll be many complaints.

Hey guys, long-time dweller, first time poster.

My initial reaction was Florence + The Machine, Foals/The Prodigy, Muse. With Subs being The Vaccines, The 1975, Disclosure. And R1 headliners being Bloc Party, Enter Shikari and maybe someone like Rudimental (or maybe Rudi are too big for R1?).

Please be kind, I am new to all this hahaha.

It's not unreasonable, barring The Vaccines (who have surprised most people with the low slots they're playing this year) those acts could play those slots. Maybe too high for The 1975, depends on how their album does next year.

Yes, of course there'll be complaints no matter what; they could have a line up that consists of The Smiths and Oasis both reuniting with Kurt Cobain coming back from the dead for one last Reading hurrah with Nirvana and there'd still be people complaining.

But Slipknot-Foo Fighters-Foals (with Vaccines or Bloc Party up against Slipknot) would probably go down better than Mumford & Sons-Metallica-The Libertines.

Or at least I'd have thought.

No thanks, would be too expensive and would affect the rest of the line-up.

But Slipknot-Foo Fighters-Foals (with Vaccines or Bloc Party up against Foals)

The Vaccines or Bloc Party up against Foals? That's absolutely crazy, they should go up gaainst Slipknot, Foals are such a cheap option, Foos have only done one dodgy record siince last time they headlined, etc.

Seen as though I'm not going, this will be The lineup.

SOAD (coheadline)

Slipknot (coheadline)

Enter Shikari

Alice In Chains (having AIC below ES, would be mortifying. But that's the way of the modern world)

Mudhoney (playing an amalgamation of Piece of Cake and Superfuzz bigmuff)

(Throw Blind Melon on that day too, so Matt Lukin can come back and play with both)

RHCP

Nick Cave

Placebo (playing only pre millenium stuff)

Interpol

Leeds Rhinos winning the challenge cup on the big screen outside the arena.

Pearl Jam

Audioslave

Weezer

Mother Love Bone (With Eddie Vedder on Lead vocals)

Temple Of The Dog

Screaming Trees

L7

Malfunkshun

Excellent line-up.

Just replace Rhinos with Bulls and we're all good

Three acts that will almost definitely be at Leeds next year

Enter Shikari

Frank Turner

Foo Fighters

Frank and Enter Shikari play nearly every year and with Enter Shikari not playing this year, R+L are hardly gonna miss out on them whilst they're on an album cycle. Same reason goes for foo's, R+L won't wait another few years for them to come back.

OFGWKTA a likely sub but the Weeknd isn't? Christ some of you are more out of touch than you claim.

The Weeknd (after another album) will definitely be a sub sized act, and I can really see R&L going for him tbh.

No they're not.

And you must be really out of touch if you've listened to The Weeknd and you think that's gonna go down well in a sub slot at R+L. R&B singer who just had a hit from the pissing 50 Shades movie.

Wot. I agree they aren't a sub, obviously, but wot.

OFWGKTA aren't a thing anymore? They don't really perform or release as Odd Future any more. They've mostly gone off and done their own things and I think Earl is trying to shrug that off all together on the new album.
