Metal bands always get a lower slot at Leeds than they deserve, Parkway would be much higher up on a bill like Download.

Catfish doing a secret set isn't that shocking, although people on here don't like them, they are doing really well and it wouldn't surprise me to see them headline before this decade is over, especially if they carry on releasing at the rate Van has said.

I'd love The Story So Far, Moose Blood and The Starting Line to be added from the Slam Dunk line up. Slam Dunk was awesome this year.

If you think about it though, like Mastodon would be higher at Download, 5FDP would be higher

I'm not sure why they tend to get slightly lower slots but generally they are placed lower than where they'd  be placed on other festivals

Maybe it's just because they don't appeal to the mass audience that Leeds caters for as much as the slight smaller/more mainstream act's

Could twin atlantic be announced on Friday? Pretty sure they've played every year for quite a while and would seem strange for them to be missed out baring in mind they are releasing a single tonight and possibly an album later on this year?

I'm hoping that the hottest record for Twin will include a secret early announcement for Reading which'll probably also show up in tomorrow's NME.

I assume the lineup will be announced on Nick Grimshaw's terrible breakfast show?

Saturday after Eagles or Sunday after A$AP if they're main stage. That'd surprise me though as they had the same slot as 1975 last year on a different night and 1975 are only up to headlining NME when I thought they'd be high main stage instead.

It's a ridiculous thought, but maybe they've booked some special openers for each day like Frank Turner? (Too optimistic I know)...

Nick Grimshaw wont announce it. No point in it. Don't think he did the last one anyway

Probably just a tour and nothing R&L related. Would be a bit shit for them to hype it for them to announce that they'd be playing mid on main.

Also ADTR's new albums comes out the week before R&L so why weren't they booked
And I reckon PUP will be announced tomorrow. They announced tour dates which start on the Monday after R&L yesterday and that's cool because PUP are banging (and so is their new album)

For the same reason it was obvious they wouldn't be. R&L/Download one after the other for 4 years straight......it's a little too much, although it would have been an improvement!......but then my Grandma having a knees up in the field would have been.

new twin track is okay... Certainly better than anything off GD, riff is good but the chorus feels just so simple. GLA new album.

Just my opinion though

Liked the new Twin track, much better than anything off of Great Divide. Promising for the rest of the album, hope they are announced but i doubt it sadly.
