my friend works for the met office and gets internal weather reports from them. he has started forwarding them onto us in anticipation for glastonbury. anyway, the one he has sent today says "there is growing research that a -ve SSTs anomaly in the North Atlantic leads to drier than average conditions across the UK."

i think that basically means we're not gonna have any rain

Oh - parts of it were absolutely trashed. The Park looked like it had been in a fight.

But on the whole...relatively speaking...it coped.

I think the Park and the JP area really get it when it rains a lot, both resemble swamps!

I was camped in Oxlyers and the Other stage field was completely battered. Didn't really dry out till Sunday. Also Silver Hayes was a disaster till they put down straw. Not really sure what the definition of "deal with it ok" is.

Yeah I can't agree with those who say that last year was just fine - storms that bring the whole event to a standstill and throw the schedule out of whack are not to be encouraged, and the level of mud made getting around the site pretty challenging.

I don't think it's fair to call bringing negative vibes to the weather thread 'trolling'. This isn't NFC NFR over here.

It's a reality that rain and storms have a good chance of attending the festival with us. I, for one, am expecting them.
