Ok... I need some help here, I've been using the BBC weather app for a while and it feels pretty reliable. Next week it looks pretty decent for weather, no rain Thurs through to Sunday. Also, it seems to update frequently as well.

So the question is... Why do I look on here every year and get twisted up in all of this? Nobody really seems to know more than anybody else?

Why is the BBC app to be dismissed behind other reports?

Deep inside all of us don't want too live past 50 and use this as some form of self harm. I too said very Seriously about two weeks ago that I would not get embroiled in this thread (I started the bastard). Two weeks on, a week to go, and my blood pressure tablets are being doubled.

Love it

It's not, but the BBC don't do their own forecasting. I think they still use Met Office.

Same with the SnowStorm app. It displays yr.no data.

The apps are just packaging data that you can get in more detail from websites like netweather.

Nope. The Sun could be destroyed overnight and it wont rise as a consequence, so its not absolutely certain, but it is of course extremely likely

"Absolutely Certain"? Probably death is the only thing approaching absolute certainty we can be sure of universally..............but then thats up for debate too isnt it?

Maybe the only true certainty in the universe is that there is no absolute certainty? ;)

You guys know the sun doesn't *actually* rise right?

"British Weather Services"?

LOL

Ever notice how a new one of these companies turns up every two years, makes stupendous forecasts gets loads of news coverage then vanishes?

It's Positive Weather Solutions all over again - same conmen getting column inches

ps. '09? my favourite.
