metalicbear
Why does everyone think Disturbed will hit Europe next Summer. Surely they will do the festivals in America first? I know one of their peevs before they went on hiatus was that they weren't given higher slots in Europe.
metalicbear
I'm back in the frame of thinking that BMTH will headline next year. I don't think they're quite at that stage yet. Biffy were massive when they were given a shot by Sonisphere, as were Slipknot by Download. A7X were pushed up after a number 1 album. I guess it all depends on the new album. I can see them subbing Download next year and then headlining Sonisphere a year later, unless their new album hits number 1. AC says they're not yet a headliner so I can't see him saying that while in discussions with them. Considering he chose to say that instead of "You never know" then I think they're Soni's next year, should it go ahead.
stevieg1993
I can see bring me the horizon headlining download in 2017 and Alterbridge headlining Sonisphere same yr if it returns.
metalicbear
I can see bring me the horizon headlining download in 2017 and Alterbridge headlining Sonisphere same yr if it returns. I think since 06, Alter Bridge have only played one UK festival and that is Download, perhaps they're tied down to Livenation??? No way will they headline Sonisphere. Pretty sure I read something the other day which said that AB are the next band in line to being pushed up at Download. Sonisphere will probably have NIN or A7X next as their "newer" headliner. kipper64
I was quite surprised NIN were not on 2016's headliner poll for DL. They were on it last year afaik. Quite a few comments on the topic highlighting they should be on it on the DL forums so probably would have got a fair vote. With their stageshow and having done Kili tours and Soni in the past I could see sonisphere giving them the Friday headline slot if it returns. Would also make a good sub to QotSA as theyve done coheadline tours in the past. Edited July 10, 2015 by kipper64

I just thought Alterbridge would be better headling Sonisphere rather than download as I can probs see more of there fan base maybe attending Sonisphere rather than download. Have a strong sub. Then have your typical maiden, metallica other days and you'd be sorted. I think bring me are the next big band to be pushed up for download. Can see more demand for them

Get them subbing tool in 2016 or put them opposite the classic rock headliner.

I know there's disparity because NIN haven't headlined fests here whereas Tool have but it'd just seem odd for NIN to open for Tool. Download is too heavy for Trent anyway. Since coming back, things like Soni and Download aren't in his interests.

metalicbear
I was quite surprised NIN were not on 2016's headliner poll for DL. I wasn't. Trent refuses to work with Livenation. The only reason why they played R/L was because he thougt it was Festival Republic and not LN and since the Biffy Clyro incident and Trent finding out that LN are involved with R/L, I doubt e will see them there for a long time. It will be Sonisphere or nothing when they come back.

lightning1000
Yup, takes himself far too seriously. Last album was poor too, listened to it non stop week of release trying to force myself to like it, havent listened to it since
dentalplan
It will be Sonisphere or nothing when they come back. Again, I don't think that's how Trent wants to position NIN. The Soundwave promoter inferred that Trent rejected his festival because 'he wants to be mainstream/Justin Timberlake' and NIN subsequently didn't play any of the heavier festivals they could do, so unless he's changed his mind back then I think Soni would be rejected straight off. I could see them doing Glastonbury but probably more likely just to do no festivals.

The best thing he could do is accept a non paying slot at Glasto then.

GodlikeYeezus
Think I might do Download next year to be honest. Is anyone here a regular? Just wondering because over the past year I feel it's gained a real buzz and has possibly grown in popularity.

lightning1000
The wrestling was great, really stiff and technical stuff. Finn balor who's nxt champ wrestled for progress not so long ago. Really hope it's there again next year as it was a good laugh.
