I think this might be the year we have to endure the embarrassing scenario where you actually called something right. :)

It's not a hard one to call but while we're at it, The Stone Roses IOW 2nd year touring? ;P. We don't surely need to address your KOL for T WILL happen (adamant) and it didn't surely?! :P

I'd much rather SOAD did an arena tour but by tour it'd be one date!

So you're in the BMTH won't make it then!

My source had it wrong for KOL at T. Turns out they were getting booked for the Glasgow Summer Sessions instead so it was almost right.

In my book BMTH will never be headline material. Fucker even uses a backing tape nowadays. Oddly I quite like some of their new stuff but I gave them a miss at Leeds and if they are going to have a year, it will be 2017. I don't mind, I'll miss it. I'll be off to NZ to watch the Lions.

SOAD at Wembley was amazing. I can see no reason why they couldn't sell out Glasgow and Manchester dates as well as others. I'll just go see them as often as possible before they blow apart again. One of those will be DL2016 I reckon.

Not almost right lol, two different things at different ends of the summer but as it happens, I'm busting balls, I don't care to be honest.

If BMTH had never been given a too high place at Reading this year due to how they could pass Metallica off for the price of a day ticket on how much them on their own cost then they wouldn't even be considered on here for headliner next year.

The way I see it is, Wembley Arena wasn't close to selling out quick, they need more than that to headline, they're not big enough that they can pull of an arena tour in April next year and headline Download. For me they needed to have already hit big dates and just be using these dates as after math gigs. I think it is a situation where a bugger tour announced later will be too late, and without one it won't happen which for me put them firmly in 2017.

I did see SOAD at Download on their reunion tbf.

I can see Disturbed playing 3rd on the Sabbath day and B4MV 2nd stage against Maiden.

What the actual fuck are you talking about? I ordered my SOAD at wembley tickets the time they went on sale. Foolishly I went to ticketmaster first and they were sold out. Luckily I found the AXS site and got one of the few seats left 10 minutes after the sale opened. If we had been any further back we'd have been in wembley tavern FFS. It was sold out. Quickly.

I don't know where all the requirement for an arena tour in Apr has come from. They're tipped to headline DL2016 and that's it. They've done it before and they'll do it again. They might be the perceived weakest of teh 3 tipped headliners but that would be Maiden in my book.

I meant for BMTH, not SOAD lol.

There is no requirement for April, they have November dates, they aren't headlining of a date at Ally Pally and a couple of academy sized gigs. I'm saying to announce a bigger tour, it'd be around April, booking your weak link step up headliner at a festival that doesn't sell out that played a month and a half before? Let's not beat around or anything headline Download 2016 based on what they have now, it's ridiculous!, it's well below weak!

B4MV have done a big tour before, Andy tried to majorly push them and they couldn't get the headline spot and there is no bigger fan. The likes of Drown isn't going to make them bigger around current main fans as it's a cheesy track by standards.

It's a three day with three headliners yo.

I think that trio would work but personally I've been thinking Sabbath then two of Tool/SOAD/Biffy for a while and I still reckon that.

On Tool, they were reportedly close to agreeing some summer European festivals this year but things got in the way so with a year to put more work into their album I can't really see them not being about.

Didn't Neil say that sabbath was in talks for 2013 Reading so maybe they'll go back in for them

Yeah I remember it being a thing one year that they could potentially be playing. I don't like Sabbath at all, but with it being their last tour I think it'd be a great booking that would steal some day ticketers from Download.

You obviously see it has no chance of happening though? It was probably Downloads 1st booking

I'm going for iron maiden, biffy clyro and bon jovi

It's a big shout that but I don't think Biffy will turn down Glasto for Download, their 2012 sub effort was poor and Andy wasn't impressed by it either. This is based on Glasto going for Biffy but I have no doubt in that. Always saw it as Foo's and Biffy over these two years.

Hmmm, you reckon RB will get a sub? Disturbed against Maiden is a killer, I'd like to think they'd do a Shikari and finish the stage early but I have doubts.

So Biffy have definitely been offered Glasto? Nah. Thought not.

Who said they have DumDum?

I reckon biffy are pretty low on Glasto's list tbh, only will be truly considered if other options fail.

Nothing to base it on but I gradually get the feeling that Biffy will be elsewhere if anywhere at all.

To be fair I've only based it on if they've been asked and given previous history, they are one of the bands the festival have very much enjoyed having at the event.
