Sarahrobinson1238
I've always camped at Hitchin Hill, means you can dip in and out of the madness! Also on a hill so less chance of your tent flooding. Quite a walk however to anywhere!
H.M.V
Oh for gawd's sake, HMV, I'm a Glastonbury virgin and even I know the Twixยฎ story! Clearly your obsessive forum lurking has not reached my pathological level! Could someone link HMV to THAT thread/story. It's a long, but entirely brilliant story and fills the reader with Glastonbury spirit! Ben x Ta lovelies. Not sure how i missed that and love twixes! pmdirectuk
Camped at pylon the last 3 or 4 years, can't recommend it enough for many reasons... 1. We can't get ther until Thursday afternon and there's always been loads of space still 2. Close to Gate a, really short walk down the hill once you're through the gate 3. Quite quiet campsite 4. Loads of nice people, not too loud 5. Ideal for the east part of the site, only a couple of minutes a walk down the hill to the Dance village and JP 6. Never been too long a walk from parking to Gate A No everyone will want to move in... lol
ChrisTGA
Yo, looking to camp in Pennards again this year (I think) and the first year we went in at gate A and trekked across site. What's the best gate to enter into, to get to Pennards and are there any tips for getting to the correct car park for this gate? CBA trevking the site again and may need to do 2 trips

CBA trevking the site again and may need to do 2 trips Gates C and D are you're better options for Pennards, but there's a short trek from the East car parks to C I believe as that's the main entrance for the camper vans, whereas if you end up in Orange on the West car parks you're right by D. As for any tips on car parks, it really depends on which fields they are filling at your time of arrival so you won't have too much of a say. Also remember that if you want to park in West you have to arrive at the site from that side and vice versa, if you hit the site on the opposite side they'll try and filter you into that sides car parks. let's 'ave it!!!
How did having Arcadia in its current location effect the surrounding campsites? Pennards and park home we're really popular enough as it was, but I feel the lure of Arcadia means it will fill even quicker! I imagine it's pretty noisy there all night now too

math125
Hitchin Hill has traditional long drops. Cheers StevieMck, have an upvote. That is unless you're just saying that to keep your favourite campsite empty

That is unless you're just saying that to keep your favourite campsite empty Unfortunately he speaks the truth - they were broken longdrops for a while last year too, after some tool must have stood on them to do their business & the whole bench of seats fell into the pit below (or it might have been the year before). Yep, I can confirm that too . Serves the woman right for trying to squat on it!!! Longdrops aside, I love Hitchin Hill. Its close enough to the Pyramid to back for more beers/change of clothes before heading out out, yet at the same time, its relatively calm, as folk don't cut through it. It is a bit of a trek home from the SE Corner, but at the same time, that walk sorts me out every time! I'll be heading back there with my mates this year and you can guarantee we'll recognise a few faces we've got to know over the last couple of years. **claire**
I think we'll head there again this year too - also handy for the lock up by Lulu's cafe in the mornings & evenings... but let's keep it quiet!

Quite a walk however to anywhere! Hitchin Hill (against the hedgerow bordering Spring Ground) has been my favourite spot for the last few years too. Also, reading this thread it seems like hardly anyone from this forum have discovered the delights of this spot yet so should be loads of space again. mungo57
I'm in the disabled campsite Spring Grou d this year. Ideally placed for gate A and Pyramid, Silver Hayes and JP stages but a bit of a mosh to other places! Looking forward to it though I am just glad that in 6 weeks I'll be there this year with you lot having a blast! Can't wait!
Napoleon_Ultra
As of a few hours ago i am now in Worthy View, because i'm an impulse buyer. I was planning on going to the northern parts, Big Ground, Hawkwell, Hitchin Hill.
