The Nal
Was in camper E17 last year and people were queuing for Gate C. Depending on what road people came in, they were either right down at the gate at the bottom of the hill of death or some were told to stay at E14. Which is fucking miles away and defeats the purpose.
jamesrfisher
From 2008-2013 we were in Baileys. It has got busier and busier but we like it. Its a long walk to anywhere but once we leave the tent we only go back to sleep. Last year we were in Worthy view as had our 6 week old baby with us and wanted some comfort and no long slog from the car. Doubt will be back there, all too sedate, no atmosphere but fine if you don't want the hassle of putting tent up etc. This year not sure. In 2013 we arrived about midnight Tuesday/Wednesday, slept in car and got in queue for D at 6.30. Was good fun but we are going with friends this year who can't leave until Wednesday morning. Likely to arrive lunchtime on the Wednesday aiming for the west side. Hopefully Baileys but we will have two large tents so might be looking at Paines or Bushy. chazwwe
Going for Oxylers again, goign to queue up over night at one of the gates, was fun last year How quickly did it fill up? Was there still space around mid day on Wednesday?
FuzzyDunlop
Camping wherever has advantages and disadvantasges. I personally can't be bothered lugging my stuff across the site. Somewhere reletively close to the entrance is ok for me. I'm hardly at my tent anyway. It means if I want some rest, I can get it. TheParkAfterDark
I'm taking a massive tent this year and coming by train, so being close to gate A is vital. Has anyone camped in Darble? I presume it's pretty spacious there? Is woodsies busy? The closest I've camped to that part of the site is row mead so am clueless. http://cdn.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/2015mapv1.pngDouble post. Short walk from Gate A and pretty spacious if you've got a big tent. Fairly quiet in the evenings too.

Was just about to post on here about Plyon, the atmosphere is a bit shoddy really, not loads going on except for an over a Fish & Chip place at the top of the site. Am definitely gonna try and camp as near as I possible can to West Holts. Any recommendations? Been looking at the map today and there is nowhere that seems super near to that area. Untz
I'm tempted to camp in the new Mrs Wills field, purely for the name.

Stick to that track and head down just past the Greenpeace field and it's easy and fairly quick.

Yeah if you want a party field Pylon isn't the place to go. Lack of those who want to party all night at their tents is a reason we like it! efcfanwirral
Michael's Mead / Hawkwell bit for me. the view was spectacular, food stall and quiet toilets near us and Beat Hotel down the bottom for cold drinks (and ice which they gave us cups of when we asked!) Only moved there last year as Arcadia took away our previous spot so same again this time!

Fair dos mate, I guess the main reason why I didn't like it is because it seemed quite far away from the action, plus it was furthest away from West Holts which is my favorite area. verrymerry
I'll be camping at the point where either I meet my friends or give up waking and stop right where I am I've camped all over and there been something good about each spot
FatChunks
Best campsite for proximity to the livelier night life areas and a lively environment? Group of uni students going - don't mind noise one bit!
McCor
There's me and a friend going, more than happy to meet people, share beers with neighbours, make new friends, and stay up with a bottle of Rum. But would like avoid finding a shit outside my tent in the morning. Suggestions? If it helps, we're both mid 30s, male and female.
Nickyboy
As people have already said, there's pro's and cons to all area's. We don't get there normally till Thursday, so most of the popular (and it has to be said noisier) areas over the railway line have gone by then. We tend to come in via Gate A (as we come on motorbikes) and have pitched up in Darble / Pylon the past few years. Pretty quiet and always space there. They are quite a way from most stuff, but you can actually sleep there, and if you want some time away from the crowds, it works well too. Tends to be a slightly older, slightly more considerate crowd too. Plenty of space for a fire if that floats your boat as well Edited April 20, 2015 by Nickyboy

The ones next to it, big ground and kidney mead, were eerily dead when we went through to meet friends at the gate on the Thursday at about 10.30pm. I agree pylon is poop. Going back to the tent had to be something factored into the day rather than stumbling past it, which is why i'd go oxylers or by john peel. JC-Mo'Fucka
also think campsite atmosphere is more down to who you're with / who your immediate neighbours are, opposed to a particular camp area.
