mattrik3
I've got a few mates that'll be helping me in the resale and pardon my ignorance but what info do I need to give them? Is it just name, registration number, postcode, sort code and account number? Last year was my first year and I can't remember exactly what info I needed

Last year was my first year and I can't remember exactly what info I needed They'll need to enter 'all' of your card details: 16 digit 'long' number Expiry date 3-digit CVV code from the back strip Your GF registration number Your postcode I think that'll do it. jacko160
I have friends who missed out on getting a Campervan ticket, does anyone know if there is generally any available in the re-sale? Thanks in advance... Edited April 10, 2015 by jacko160
Stokesy10
You can't pay for resale tickets with a credit card in the UK? I could have sworn I got some with a cc last year. So if you get through and need to buy 4 tickets you need to have over £900 at the ready? Few days before pay day, looks like I'm asking the Mrs for a temp loan! Ben Probably advisable to use your email and phone number too, though not essential, it will help with any follow-up queries AND MAKE SURE IT'S A DEBIT CARD! Everyone who truly wants a ticket shall get one.
Matt - Ed Banger Records
I have friends who missed out on getting a Campervan ticket, does anyone know if there is generally any available in the re-sale? Thanks in advance... The resale FAQs on the site suggests that any campervan tickets that get cancelled will be sold as and when on the glastonbury.seetickets.com page, so no official date for them all to go up - it will be a case of luck rather than judgement I would imagine. gorfield
Plus many will have made alternative plans for the summer yeah this is true.. out of a group of about 15 of us who always go none of us got tickets and the majority have booked other festivals/holidays. evilduck
if the registrations were paid for on different cards and registered to different addresses I'm not sure how they'd tell even if you had a blag name to make them completely different What about the photo? If they find out you have bought tickets for one person on two different registrations they will cancel all of them. Not sure it's worth the risk! chazza36
How do you pick up tickets? When buying them on the resale, Im getting 3 each of us with different addresses but we want all of them going to the same one?

Debit cards only. And bear in mind that if you need 4 tickets and 4 people are all trying at the same time, all 4 of you will need the £900 available! Matt - Ed Banger Records
It has had to be a debit card for a number of years now? The best option would be to all pay into one account and then distribute those card details amongst a group of 4, if you don't get tickets then you just fire the money back out to the people in the group - job done. Matt - Ed Banger Records
I know that on occasion the odd credit card has been able to sneak through during the initial sale, but I guess they may have tightened up the systems a touch? I wouldn't fancy risking a rejection if you get through though. I know that the whole credit card thing caused absolute mayhem in 2013 when a load of my group didn't realise until the last minute and hadn't factored in needing to have 8 x £50 deposits, in the end we just had a few who had done and distributed the card details to everyone - managed to get 24 people in that year. briddj
Any idea why they don't let CCs through? I'll sort it out, I'm sure. Hopefully my dad can lend me the money into my DC and I can just transfer a debt over to my CC or something. My mum will now what to do... Can always trust the 'rents Probably due to the charges that go with CC over DC.
chimpy
Initially the use of credit cards were banned due to the amount of tickets being bought by touts on credit cards and repaying the balance of them after selling at highly inflated prices. chimpy
I also believe this is the reason a quite a few tickets go back in the pot. Payment deadline creaps up and then people realise they simply dont have over £400 laying about spare to pay for their tickets.

Thanks, should have picked up on that when reading through the FAQs. Guess they will have to be really lucky to pick one up!! Failing that they will have to come and "slum" it with our group in tents. Thanks, again.
John_P
I'm pretty sure last time I bought the tickets myself they took a day or two before debiting my account so once I'd bought the tickets my friends just fired me the money via internet banking and it was in my account waiting for see/Glastonbury to take it. Always a worrying few days waiting for it to be taken.
Jackmypie
Can you still buy tickets if you don't have enough money in your bank account at the time of purchase? I only have enough money for my ticket at the moment, what if I bought my ticket & a couple other peoples tickets and they transfer the money to me after? Or would the card just get rejected straight away?
Michaels denim shorts
They don't take the £££s instantly but it's pretty quick. A couple of minutes while it goes though the systems. Don't risk it, just have enough money in 1 account nominated between a group whos trying & make sure you all have the details of the card ready to copy and paste from a doc should you get a booking screen
Leggins
Another question... Looks like I'm solo on this, but a couple of friends are gonna try help me... What if more than 1 of us get through at the same time and payment goes through? Will both transactions get cancelled? Or will See/Glasto ring me and sort it out so I only pay once or what? As soon as a successful transaction goes through with a particular registration number, it's impossible to buy another ticket with that registration number. The second person would get an error message saying something like "This registration number has already been used to buy a ticket"

(ie share the card details of the account with the money in with everyone in the group).
Bisque
I borrowed £600 off my Dad to make sure one year. I didn't even get through. Just gave it straight back the next day. Friend of a friend did though so fired off the cash after she called me saying she got us tickets. It's tough when your young & skint, or skint. But always best to have the full balance in your bank to make things easier & quicker. You don't want to lose x amount of tickets due to waiting for a friends to transfer money. HGavin
I had a ticket in the first sale, paid for it with my NZ debit card by putting in my mates uk address.. it seemed to accept and had confirmed id bought it. 379nzd was withdrawn from my account.. Ive now seen the 379 is back in my account and theres no sign of the transaction in the statement history. This must be because i used an nz debit card. Does this mean ive lost my glastonbury ticket? Is there a way to recontact seetickets and give them new credit card details? A little worries right now..
