With all due respect but.... it's a bit off key to have someone mock an art form, especially since you are on a forum where we are all collectively looking to attend a festival with the view of not caring how varied our group shall be and no matter how different we all are.

 

 

Are we not able to be friendly with those who do not share the same taste in music?  I've got quite a few mates who mock some of the music I enjoy and vice versa.  Apologies if you were offended.  First beer is on me.  :)

Hi there! I've only just come across this forum. 

 

Due to friends bailing at last minute, I'm going to be attending Reading Festival alone, and now I'm looking for fun people I can party with next weekend! 

I'm into all music but mainly Punk/ Rock/ Metal ; Alexisonfire main reason i got a ticket :P anyone else going to see them?   I'm 23 (turning 24 next week!) I'm pretty chilled, fun and easy to talk to /get along with.

This will be my 5th year attending reading fest so I kinda know my way around. 

Someone hit me up, I'm a cool chick!

Due to friends bailing at last minute, I'm going to be attending Reading Festival alone, and now I'm looking for fun people I can party with next weekend! 

I'm into all music but mainly Punk/ Rock/ Metal ; Alexisonfire main reason i got a ticket :P anyone else going to see them?   I'm 23 (turning 24 next week!) I'm pretty chilled, fun and easy to talk to /get along with.

This will be my 5th year attending reading fest so I kinda know my way around.

Greetings Dre and welcome to the group!

I couldn't find anyone else who wanted to or was able to attend this years festival either so I too am flying solo.  This will be my Reading Festival but I've been to Download three times, Glastonbury twice and Bonnaroo (in America) once.  I'm not sure I know much by Alexisonfire but it would appear we may have a similar taste in music.  The must-sees on my list are Royal Blood, Against Me!, New Found Glory, Panic at the Disco!, All Time Low, Atreyu......the list goes on......

What day are you arriving?  I anticipate being there sometime Thursday afternoon.

I will most likely spend most of Saturday on Main.

Last year saw Jamie T play a surprise secret set, can you give us any clues to what act might be playing this year?

I wonder if that means what I think it means.

Hi, yeah this years line up is great! just noticed that the tickets have sold out now! so glad i got mine just in time! Thats cool, I went to download 2011 absolutely loved it but as per its more fun when you can get a group together! I HIGHLY advice you to listen to Alexisonfire this weekend, so you'll have another band in your priority list :P haha yup I sure will be seeing Panic! , NFG etc.... 

I live like 2 hours away by train, and i'm probably gonna get there in the morning.

I believe that was the point I was making haha, since up until your comment everyone had stayed very clear of giving opinions on bands/genres they don't like.

 

It's cool though I'm not having a go, I just thought I'd nip it in the bud since our camp is clearly gonna be massively diverse :)

Plans have changed again, not gonna have time to get down after work Thursday, so up first thing Friday.

Would love to be set up in time to catch the districts, anybody else going to see them?

It's going to be emotional too! if you count both sets at reading '09 , seen them 4 times.

Lucky! This will be the first time I've saw them. My brother tried to get me to go to their Glasgow gig like 5 years ago and I said no.. It turned out to be their last Glasgow gig, so seeing them at reading will be special!
