Campervan plus a tent in the main fields

Hello.

If a group of you have travelled down in a campervan, are some of the group allowed to camp in one of the main camping fields or is there a ban on taking tents through from the campervan field into the main camping area?

I would think there would be no problem.

If you arrive before the main gates open though they would have to wait in the campervan field with you.

Yes, as in if you arrived in the campervan field on Tuesday, they would have to stay overnight and then enter the gate on Wednesday morning.

Arriving on Wednesday or after in the campervan field, then straight in!

If you travel down in the Campervan on Tuesday you can be at the front of the queue at the hill of death on Wednesday morning... they let people through from the car parks around 7am...

you could of course be decadent and have a tent up next to the campervan for when you are tired and emotional (and would appreciate the peace and quiet)... and one down in the action for when the hill of death seems too tall an order..

Did that last year, got a lift in a van on tuesday, joined a massive queue of about 10 people at 8am in west cv, pitched 6 tents by 10.30 just in time for friends arriving.

dont believe i see the sense in it myself tbh.. but i have seen it done.. i prefer the comforts of my country pile too much... warm bed, hot running water, bacon sandwiches and cooled fruity cider (breakfast beer)... the walk back up the hill of death isnt half as bad as some let on.. (thats coming from an old bloke.!)

People next to us two years ago did just this (East camperfield). All arrived together in a motor-home, the young uns kipped behind the vehicle in their pop-up tents on Tuesday then were up and at em at the crack of dawn and in the Queue for Gate C early doors.

Can you do this if you are in the West Campervan field too? I understand it has a separate entrance to the festival....or am I just getting confused??

Basically the question is....if you stay in West can you take a tent into the main arena on Wednesday morning?
