im a massive fan myself those first two albums were both 10/10 the next two - perhaps not quite as good - I think they have a niche sound that is always going to struggle crossing over to mainstream popularity. Think they perhaps peaked 10 or so years ago when they were headlining the other stage - they will always have a strong loyal fanbase though and that will get them sold out tours in reasonable venues - but may not necessarily translate to good positions on festival line ups. Unless they have a next album thats gonna blow the general listeners socks off - I can not see them picking up a slot as big as other headliner again. Unless of course its a lengthy hiatus - as sometimes a long absence can give a band a big boost. Can not beleive its been 13 years since they won the Mercury prize!!!!! -
I really liked them til I saw them live. It wasn't that they were bad, as such, as they did a fine job of recreating their studio work on stage, it just felt lifeless and sterile. -
