So, what have we got, what have we not?

Obviously the forum is becoming even more unwieldy since last night, but as a first-timer and a classic 'under carder', I kind of need to know where we're at.

Last night they told us the names of 75 (less headliner No.3).

I'll make an assumption that 'all' of these are for the 'main' 5 stages - Py, O, WH, JPT, Pa.

That makes 15 per stage, thus 5 per day, Fri-Sun

So, what proportion of the main stages line-up does that represent?

Looking at last years line-up for these 5 stages, that would seem to make up only about 55% of the line-ups.

Conclusion - we still have a sh*tload of stuff to come just for these 5 stages!

Having seen last years 'full' line-up, I do have a feel for just how indescribably huge it is. But, after feeling pretty pleased already with last night's announcement, the idea that it represents such a modest amount of the overall stuff even for those few stages is just mind-blowing!

So much of the lower down stuff is still to come, stuff that will be significantly more up my street that what we learned last night.

How do they usually announce the rest - drip feed? a series of smaller, but significant announcements. Do we hear much/anything about the much smaller areas until we get the proper full line up in v late May/early June?

I guess what I really need is a well-maintained list of self-confirmations!

Might bump that thread and ask if anyone wants to make one/a new thread to which new ones can be added...

That's where i'm going to find most of the stuff that I need to make my new discoveries for the festival.

Just keep an eye on the Self Confirmed thread, and the Lineup page (which highlights stuff added in the past 24 hours/few days).

The TBCs on the lineups and rumours page pretty much does that for you

Just keep an eye on the Self Confirmed thread, and the Lineup page (which highlights stuff added in the past 24 hours/few days).

What everyone else said is spot on - loads more still to come inc some top stuff and the rumours list is the best place. check daily for everything in red

Thanks, guys

Yes, I guess I knew all that, really! I'm just trying to get my head around the enormity of what I don't yet know in terms of line-up. As I said, unlike maybe your casual GF goer, I know unequivocally that there is more for me in what hasn't yet been announced than in what has!

it's not so much a line up as a list of things i'll never get to see, but that's always the case. i suppose it keeps me returning year after year.

:D

Said it before and I will say it again.

I have missed some of the best bands in the world at Glastonbury Festival - and loved every minute of it!

Extremely surprised not to see Courteeners (Mixed response on here :P ) not named. 11 spots to name on main lineup, which means i'd doubt them now, which seeing as they are both good to each other in previous years, is a shock.

Can it be May now? :D

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the acts announced are on Acoustic or Avalon, Waterboys and moody blues look likely contenders so an even lower percentage announced.

Possibly some of the acts are in Silver Hayes too, but I'm not trendy enough to guess at those.

Only 11 spots to name on the main line up? How have we figured this out and what constitutes main line up? Pyramid - Other - WH - JP - Park. Would of thought more than 11 to come for those stages

Still a whole heap to come for the big 5 stages certainly more than 11 acts. Will include big names and also earlier acts for JP Park West Holts & Even Other.

Someone looked at the poster for 2014 and it was missing 11 acts from the top slots on the main five stages. So not 11 missing from the whole stage line-up, just the 1-2-3. Just for comparative purposes.

Consider as well that it's been suggested some of the names on the line-up may not even be for the 'big five' - some may be for Acoustic in particular. Perhaps Avalon as well, or Silver Hayes.

EDIT - Ah, just beaten to it I see! ^
