I think a rock/indie act under howard, so suede/vaccines??

Vaccines playing Friday so I guess they are out. Reckon suede will headline JP, so maybe one other sub is being held back.. Like Ellie Goulding? Cannot think who'd fit that bill though... Maybe tame impala? I hope?

Hokay I've figured out technically what the general distribution of this poster is stage-by-stage (according to how it was last year)

but by what I've found from last year the distribution is:

out of all 75 of the acts:

18 are on the Pyramid stage

13 are on the Other stage

12 are on the West Holts stage

12 are on the Park stage

10 are on the John Peel stage

3 are on the Acoustic stage

3 are on the Sonic stage

1 is on the Glade stage

2 is on the Wow! stage

and 1 is on the Blues stage

that should all add up to 75

have fun sorting your predictions out folks!

So, my little Confederate friend, response as promised. I'll list all the bands I would say in a hierarchal ranking, understanding that I could never hope to see a fraction of them, given the site's enormity!

(1) From Tuesday's announcement:

MUST SEES

Hot Chip

Courtney Barnett

WOULD INTEND TO GO SEE UNLESS...CLASHFINDER SAYS NO...

SFA, Jon Hopkins, Sharon Van Etten, Kate Tempest, Death Cab For Cutie, Caribou, Future Islands, Spiritualized, Jamie T, DFA 1979

WOULD BE HAPPY TO SEE

Circa Waves (really liking the record - surprised at the poor reviews elsewhere on the forum), Father John Misty, Jamie xx, alt-J, FKA twigs, Todd Terje, Belle & Sebastian, Chemicals

NOT TOO FUSSED, MAY BE UNEXPECTEDLY QUITE FUN AND I WOULDN'T ACTIVELY AVOID

Maccabees, Young Fathers, Motörhead, Waterboys, Run the Jewels

(2) From the (TBC) on eFests' list:

Alvvays, Gaz Coombes, Phuture, Fold (might be my first little golden nugget find), nadine Shah, the Little Unsaid, Trembling Bells

(3) Bands/Artists that logically may well be announced, that I would love to be there (i.e. a realistic [some less so] wish list):

Laura Marling, The Twilight Sad, Everything Everything, Stornaway, Villagers, The Leisure Society, East India Youth, 8.58 (Paul Hartnoll's project), Dredge, Lower Dens, Public Service Broadcasting, The Decemberists, Björk (alright, I know, I know...), Diagrams, GY!BE, The Haxan Cloak, Ben Frost, Kiasmos, AWVFTS (I wish!), The Antlers (PLEASE!)

There are loads of others I could name, obviously, but I'll end with Adult Jazz, because theirs was my AOTY for 2014 and they were bloody superb at Green Man.

Happy dissection of a bit of my musical taste...

Ben

Thanks Ben.

I haven't really got an 'must see's' this year at the moment.

SFA would be one but I'm seeing them in a couple of weeks. Hopefully at Glastonbury too though.

Others announced that I'm planning on seeing would be Courtney Barnett, DFA1979, Goat, Wolf Alice and The Fall.

Still hoping for Django Django and First Aid Kit, was also hoping for Sun Kil Moon but that's fairly unlikely.

Hopefully one year Deerhunter will play (never seen them) but it won't be this year.

I assess your musical taste to be decent :)

Enjoy your first Glasto! You won't look back.

As such, I tend to create a somewhat disproportionate obsession with my annual festival. I will be ridiculously active on the forum of whichever festival I'm going to, and become one of the better known posters on there, in the lead-up to the event, because I have uncontrollable toddler levels of excitement!

What I'm more interested in knowing is why there's now threads entitled 'What have we got, what have we not', 'Line-up - who's missing' and 'How many more?' started in the past day. SO UNNCECESSARY.

Realised that comment came off rather moodily. Have personally loved your contributions to the forum in the past months, after becoming more obsessed too. Hope I get a chance to meet some of you lovely people in June!

I'd just like to add my signature to the 'we love Ben' letter. Your posts have been a little ray of sunshine recently.

And ask if there's actually a realistic chance of the Antlers playing. If they're on the next poster, I'll shit myself with excitement. Then and there. I'll probably be in the office too, but it'd be worth it.

Edit: I must say, as adorable as the 'Ben' sign-off is, it's not a patch on the random bollocks we used to get from Scruffy(?)'s phone.
