I'd like to pass on my commiserations to all those who failed in their valiant efforts to secure tickets yesterday.  As a total glasto newbie I didn't realize the enormity of the festival and what it means to people.. 

If it's of any consolation whatsoever i did some pre-glasto training last night and I now have the worst hangover man has ever known.  I have however ascertained that a combo of rose, beer and zambuca is an absolutely appalling mix.

How much that equates to is frankly anyone's guess, but until the announcement comes that all tickets are gone then its worth keeping an eye out. Trouble is, as we saw yesterday, that can mean it taking over life a bit!

Taking over just a little.  I refreshed as the page updated and couldn't have been any quicker entering details... Still didn't get them

I actually find this comforting as I had gone to get a drink - so at least I know that my chances where slim even if I was ready at the computer.

I swear, if by some complete miracle i end up actually getting a ticket this year I am going to build an underground bunker on site so I never have to go through this again.

This.  You'll understand, once you leave site on the Monday, and It's another year (or more)  until it all happens again.  Let alone the stress and planning to apply for tix in October, then the resale, than clutching at straws here, now.  No-one has a divine right  (no matter how many times they've been) to have a ticket.  It's a lottery, and that's how it should be.

I was straight in there too, but no joy. Probably didn't help that I was going for 4 tickets. If there's another flash sale I'll just buy for me and my wife and hang my sister and pal out to dry. I'm nice like that.

I imagine it's a bit of a catch-22 for them. Any new resale will probably be even smaller than yesterday's. If they announce it, people will get their hopes up and will likely get angry with See Tickets if they fail.
If they definitely say there won't be any more, and tickets do become available (however few), people will also feel betrayed.

As you say, only the most dedicated are still on it now. That would change if they announced something.

a friend of mine won tickets to last years festival , so it does happen and got to be worth a go at entering

Yes definitely, I've read some very happy posts on efests over the years

Yeah, a couple of years back, the people on the Yeovalley stall were really chuffed cos the couple who won their tickets had just been to say thank you!

I won 2 hospitality tickets with Radio 1 extra in 2014 (and tickets to multiple non glastonbury festivals)

As gutted as I was (and am) to have missed out yesterday, I'm elated for those lucky few who got them.

 

i can only imagine the feeling - must be like winning the lottery

I don't think she mentioned Glasty tickets, but @cb4747 certainly mentioned winning several competitions for festival tickets. 

She's been valiantly helping folks all week and sharing information, but I don't think was able to get through yesterday unfortunately.

I got through to the last bit and when I went to pay it came up as only paying for my reg number not my boyfriends. Absolutely cannot leave him without a ticket so didn't proceed, went back to try for both and it was too late.

Ive won with The Guardian one year and Thatchers the following, all i can say is they phone from a private number if you do win, so answer them calls if you don't already

I enter competitions all day, not just for festivals and I answer every unknown number because you never know! I've won some fab prizes in the past, I do feel very grateful for them.
