Just wondering why you'd come into a thread where people have quite obviously been unsuccessful in the original resale for whatever reason and proceed to tell them how it's surprisingly easy to get a ticket?

Googling glasto tickets brings you to the forum, seeing Secret Ticket Sales as the top thread then draws the eye.

This site and it's forum are great sources of information, populated by interesting and enthusiastic members and that's it's strength but you don't get to choose who reads it or for what purposes they use the info.

As said above, the most dedicated people will make sure they have the best chance of getting tickets (ergo Siblin) and so will prob be rewarded but to try and deny the knowledge to a greater audience sounds a bit elitist to me

Where did you get the idea of a elite group from? Ridiculous. Nothing unusual about wanting to help others on here.

There's a difference between hiding information and shouting it from the rooftops. This is an open forum so it's far from hidden.

But people on here would rather that people on here get tickets, there's nothing strange about that.

No-one thinks we're an 'elite' group - we're just desperate to get tickets (either for oursleves or for others) and want to maximise our chances.

Obviously the more people who know about the 'secret' resales the lower the odds of getting hold of a ticket. I don't think anyone seriously wants to stop others from having a chance, but there's a sense that it would be preferable for tickets to go to people who are completely in love with the festival, who it would mean a lot to (and are therefore probably on this forum discussing Glastonbury night and day), rather than those who aren't that bothered.

Overall though, if anyone is keeping a close enough eye on the ticket pages etc they 'deserve' a ticket as it definitely takes perserverence!

there are some people who have come to peace with not going, and there are others on here who are still desperate to do whatever they can to get tickets. The only suggestion was that bombarding see and GFL over twitter might not be the best idea for anyone, except those who want to try in the secret resale as a last minute impulse thing

I say this with complete objectivity as I've already had my ticket booked for a number of months now!

I was just reading through the previous pages with people saying the forum should hide this sort of information and only include people that have been active for a long time like they deserved a ticket more. Just seemed stupid to me. Just trying to help.

1) get multple laptops

2) download google chrome

3) download refresh monkey (extension)

4) open settings, extensions, set refresh monkey to work in incognito mode

5) open 9 incognito windows on your screen, goto seetickets.glastonbury.com, change zoom on screen so you can see when the page changes

6) set refresh monkey to refresh every 5 seconds and to stop when the url changes (even if it doesnt stop, refreshing on the payment page isnt a problem)

even if you only have 3 laptops thats the same as having 27 computers on the go. i had 3 laptops today and got through about 6 times.

Thats something i posted on reddit. It helped quite a lot of people get tickets in the resale. Ive never had any problem getting through.

I was in the situation last year,it was f##king awful and we had a rough time scale when it would be. I'm lucky enough to have a ticket,but my friend needs 1 as he sick of the "vip" treatment from previous years
