Yeah I am sooo tempted. It's £100 to be paid when we get there which makes it even more tempting... But I'm really scared of what the consequences of being caught would be...

You could always get yourself smuggled in inside a portaloo. I wouldn't recommend leaving the same way though.

Hahahahhahaha that made me chuckle! I'm still exploring other avenues but desperate times may call for portaloo smuggling

Got an offer today of being taken in via an 'alternative route'. It would mean going in with a wristband but having it taken off once inside.... how risky do you reckon it is? In my head the worst case scenario is being banned for life. Which is probably the worst scenario that could ever happen ever... right up there next to dying...

You need more than a wristband to enter. You need a passout and ticket too.

Once inside unless you need to leave you be fine I wonder how many are being let in this way no wonder all the stages seemed so packed last year even the small ones we seriously actually commented on the volume of people to previous years

Yeah I don't think I've ever seen anyone actually check my wristband. I'm even thinking about sewing an old one on just so it looks like I have one. There's so many different colours for staff/artists/etc I doubt anyone would be able to tell... And you're right, it did seem incredibly busy last year.

That doesn't sound quite right because if every crew worker had 4 tickets to give to friends, nobody would be going? Surely it's more likely that they were left over crew tickets?

I was thinking it might cover the returned tickets? If SEE decided they would distribute them that way instead of putting them up in a flash sale? You'd think that if there were leftover crew tickets they would go back in the pot. I do know that these lucky recipients will be camping in the public area, not the crew area.

I imagine there won't be a standard number of tickets per crew member. Some will get more, some will get less.

Very interesting regarding the tickets and so unfair I feel. Do not give up on getting tickets just yet for your daughter I like yourself am relying on my Iphone and Neils checkpage alert if See are running late as has been suggested I would give it to the end of the week. Then a rethink may be in order as I start to wonder if they could get the tickets to us in time

Thank you for your encouragement! I will keep on alert next week just in case with the old Checkpage (for old it is now), but you can't help thinking that this has gone on far too long. If SEE have background problems as some people have suggested, it's worth pointing out that they have managed to have flash sales etc of Tipis etc.

I think it's been discussed in great detail many pages back that apparently each area/stage etc get an allocation of tickets for crew etc, and if anything this allocation is generally under stress. Often they will have to ask for more which is never guaranteed to be honoured. On that basis these 4 tickets could've only come from crew in a particular area or department who actually had a few spare, rather than being indicative of something going on across the board.

I'm not sure how this would work to be honest, if you're going through the gate with a wristband on you also have to show a ticket stub and your pass out slip. If you had these too then I would say go for it. I would in a flash. If you get caught the worst thing that would happen is they throw you out. They can't ban you if they don't know who you are!

Just like to say it's great to see some positivity returning to this thread. We've come too far to give up now! Still 4 weeks until showtime folks and next week is an ideal time!

Still, if anybody knows of any middle aged baldy tickets then I'd be on it!

Seen loads meet up in East Campervan fields to try and get in via this route. Last year we saw security and police arrest loads and take them offsite. No idea what happened to then after that. Also spotted a lad last year trying to prise a trader band onto his wrist that was so small a child would've struggled.

£100 quid could be lost....... However, if you succeed make sure you wear a long sleeved top!! It's definitely easier than scaling the fence!!

They do implement random checks. I think it was in 2015 I was asked to show my wrist band on the path up to the railway line, just approaching the Glade. Just two security guys do the checking, but another 4 were milling about spread out a little way off. They converged on some guy and had him penned in up against the fence. No idea why as he hadn't reached the security doing the checking - may be he'd done a sudden U  turn or something.

I also got asked to show my wrist band in a bar once. So that's twice in the last 10 years. Good odds that you won't encounter anything similar, but worth bearing in mind.

Ah I see - I've never tried to leave and go back in so didn't know what the rules were there.
